Eury - It must be hard having to eat at a school cafeteria daily. All you can do is make the best choices you can, drink lot's of water and try and get in some exercise.

LadyL - Hows was your Chinese New Year?? Luckily, we managed to skip out on New Years dinner with my SO's family because he had soccer the same night.

Hi novel! I hope you are having a great day

I loved your list, Lauren. I don't think mine is list worthy but I am going to lay off the cheese for the month of February and my Granola Thins that I love. Plus, no off meal snacking. Hopefully this will help me get out of the 190s.

Feeling very tired after a hard workout today.

Love to all!
Awesome! It's great to have motivation and support from others!

Happy First Feb ladies!

Can't believe it's another month already! But...here I am, still hanging on to the same old stupid pounds. Last month has been a wash, pretty much, but I'm back in the saddle.
Food intake for today was:
B - 2 small slices of bread with cream cheese and jam, small coffee with milk
S - my morning/afternoon latte
L - Leftover spaghetti with veggies, small piece of candy
S - pear
D - salmon steak with plain rice, 2 bites of my dad's chicken and (another) latte

No gym today as I was working until 6:30pm. I start at 7:30, so I was DONE.

Looking forward to celebrating all your weight loss success in the next 29 days!

Holding back really hard from having a binge day. My husband was just diagnosed with a slow growing lung cancer. He is looking at lung surgery in apx 1 month. Hes been going through lots of tests, scans, pet scans, so it was not unexpected but today the 'c' word was used. More as i can.

The weather is SO nasty out today... makes it harder to go to the gym in a couple hours. BUT I'm going to focus on the fact that, in bad weather, the cute guy that lives in my apartment complex seems to skip his usual gym and go the the complex gym. ;-) Let's hope he's there tonight! Haha.

All the newbies -

Diana - Congrats on 160.8!! You're on FIRE!

Pint - I say go for it!

Shells - I KNOW you will be in Onderland in February!!

Vixsin - Hey you!

Cinci - "Looking forward to celebrating all your weight loss success in the next 29 days!" Me too!!!

Anyone I forgot...I'm sorry. I'm so bummed that my post is gone. It took me forever to type. My computer was being weird and not loading pages earlier so maybe that's it...? I thought it posted and it didn't.
_______________________________________________
In January I started at 153.8 and got down to 148.8 on the 28th (until I gained some water weight the following day! ) I'm calling it 5 pounds for January!

This morning I weighed in at 149.0# (almost all that water weight is gone! ) This month my goal is to lose 5 pounds, putting me at 144, and NO longer overweight! Another goal is to work on toning. DH and I are going to start lifting weights 3 times per week...he's even going to do a low carb, high protein meal plan with me! I believe we're starting next week..? I also need to focus on drinking at least 64 oz. of water per day...I was slacking in January.

This is my plan of attack for today.

Breakfast (300) strawberry oatmeal w/milk 180, ¼ c. egg beaters w/cheese 60, cranberry juice 60
Snack (180) ½ c. cottage cheese 90, banana 90
Lunch (310) LC wheat wrap 90, turkey 40, provolone 90, mustard 10, cup-a-soup w/crackers 80
Snack (210) Strawberry yogurt 210
Dinner (300) "Healthified" asian chicken, brown rice, peas & egg
1300
with the dogs

Hi all! I'm Helen and I'm looking forward to a productive Feb. I have been swimming daily along with weights every other day. I find swimming an enjoyable way to exercise. I am supposed to be on Atkins but have been having way more carbs than I should. I am losing but not at the rate if I was to stay on track. I'm really going to have to decide if I can stick to the plan or if I should go to a zone/south Beach plan.

Debbie, praying for you and DH! Stay strong for you and him!

Sum, Hi! This thread is a little chattier isn't it?

Diana 3271, you are so close to goal!!!!

Gaining, hope you feel better and your weigh in goes well!

Shells, TOM is kicking my butt this month too

Berryblondeboys, "for the rest of my life", that's the only way to think about it!

Danielle, you're doing great! Sounds like a good goal for Feb, good luck!

Krampus, coming down off your sugar high sucks! Hang in there and stay on plan!

Belly B, I have a couple of prisoners at home tomorrow too !

Larry, I think I remember being shocked at the calories in Wendy's items last I looked, especially like the chili, you'd think that would be somewhat healthy at least, and their salads are loaded with calories!

LLbold, yikes, good luck with the tooth!

Lauren, I like your monthly goals. Good ideas.

Eury, stay away from that cafeteria food!

Novelisa, I am a daily weigher, but more fun than that is taking my measurements every week! I see the most results there.

Stacygee, I should give up cheese too....

Lindsey, you have great monthly goals too!

Welcome Helen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are really inspiring me tonight!

As for me, as of this morning I was 209.8, which puts me at 20 pounds lost!!! Need to get to 207 for my first mini goal of 10% weight gone. And then from there it is Onderland or bust!!!! Chooo, Chooo!!!

Lauren Hi Girl! Have you tried the sodas with stevia? I'm not sure if you have them there. As you probably know, stevia is an all natural sweetener. Take a look http://www.zevia.com/
