I've been having one of the most depressing days I've had in a while. My boyfriend is across the country for a few weeks and that fact isn't helping the matter :/ I walked out into the kitchen to grab my organic corn chips I bought in order to have in small servings every once in a while as a treat. However I knew I had the intention of finishing off half the bag. Instead I thought for a moment, walked to the sink, gulped a big glass of water, and decided I would finish a painting I had started last weekend instead. I don't need food for anything but to cure my hunger Yay!

Congratulations! Every time you make such a decision, you reinforce your own behavior and make those same good choices easier in the future.
Also, painting is wonderful for any plan--you can't eat if your hands are busy holding a brush and a palette. I should get back to it myself, now that I think about it!
I definitely agree Nola Celeste. It's nice to find things to do where eating is pretty impossible in contrast to watching tv, being on the internet, or reading a book.
