Well, I did it. Another year has gone by, and I spent it being proactive instead of inactive.
Some habits have formed, some have let go.
I NEVER drink soda anymore, and usually don't even have that internal dialogue with myself about it, that's just not something I do.
I NEVER eat out of boredom or hurt feelings or anger anymore, I tried to cut that out way back then.
I get some form of exercise EVERY day, even if it's just walking down the stairs a bunch of times.
A biggie for me was only eating when physically hungry. Still having problems with that one, still rarely feel hungry and still eat by the clock, so to speak.
Room for improvement, of course. I dropped my calories from 2200 down to 1800-2000 a month or two ago, expecting to see SOME changes but still coasting slowly down. Spending a LOT of time maintaining a one or two pound loss. Living a lot of time in that body, in that clothing size, getting really comfortable in it even. Still not noticing many changes when looking in the mirror, but photos don't lie. Still have a long way to go, and time to buckle down to 1600-1800 calories and see what happens.
12 months equals 37.1 pounds lost. 35.4 to go to my first tentative goal, so a little over halfway done.
Yay me.
