Default Plateau from heck.

This summer i lost 40 lbs and i have managed to keep them off for three months, but now i have a simple goal of loosing these last 9 lbs to kick start my new diet, I currently weigh 194 and i used to be 235, i have eaten less and eaten like a maniac but no matter what i do i remain this weight, i have tried to calorie cycle and even when i went to the gym again i remained the same weight. I dont get why i wont loose any weight...its just so depressing because i just want to be a size 12 in jeans by the end of this month and right now im a 13/14. MY ultimate goal is just to loose 9 lbs by november 1st. Any suggestions? I dont want to do any crazy crash diets because that messes up my metabolism and as hard as i try to go on them, i just cant anymore, im used to eating whatever i want but in portion sizes. So does anyone have any suggestions as to how they broke their plateau? A two week diet plan would help im down for anything, ill excersize for 4 hours a day if i have to.

The only thing that works for me to break up a stall is to eat everything I should not be eating whatsoever for one whole day. It seems to reset my metabolism and the scale shows a loss the next day. Works for some, doesn't for others. Worth a try if you are one that it will work for. If not, one day of this will not exactly set you behind in your goal if you are able to jump right back onto your plan. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by, "you have eaten and eaten." Also, I must switch up my exercise. I tend to plateau from the same ole same ole. There is such a thing as too much exercise, anything near 4 hours a day is not needed.

Good luck.

You say you are used to eating whatever you like but in portion sizes... what are you eating?

It sounds like you are doing everything right, but it may be your nutrition. Can you post a sample of a regular days worth of eating?

You're not alone...I lost 53 pounds, then quit smoking 4 weeks ago. Since then, I've been losing/gaining the same 4 pounds over and over again, like a time loop despite walking anywhere from 3.5-5+ miles a day. I'm considering joining a gym to do something new to break this plateau because it's driving me crazy.

OMG...I'm right there with you, although I realize that doesn't really help you or answer your question. I am stuck in the lower 180s and cannot get out for the life of me. I work out 2 hours a day, eat exactly what I'm supposed to and still....NOTHING. I have bounced back and forth with the same 3-4 lbs. for a month now.
I think I am going to have a free food day on Sunday as mentioned by MissKelly above. Not go crazy, but eat some stuff I haven't allowed myself in months. I will let you know if it works out.

Congrats on your weight loss over the summer!

How long has your plateau been? Has it been for a few days, or several weeks?
