Smile In search of a weight loss & excerise buddy!
I'm looking for a buddy that I can communicate with daily (or every other day) to keep myself (and them) in check. I hope we can become a weight loss team and kick some major butt in our journeys!

Unfortunately, I just moved and don't know anyone and all my friends live in MI and I don't think any of them are looking to lose weight or are serious like I am about it. I need someone that can keep me in check and tell me "hey, you better not eat that!" I also want someone that could become a friend!

Hey there! I was actually searching for an accountability buddy myself. Not sure how supportive I could be via email though. I'm more of an IM girl myself. Any chance you use MSN messenger or yahoo?

Jilly - LOL. That's great!! I'm trying to figure out how we should do this...

Anyone have any suggestions as how to go about the buddy thing, I say the more the merrier!!! What about e-mail? Facebook? Or should I just start a thread on here for us? Let me know what y'all think! I'm SO pleased to have this many people interested in being diet/exercise buddies!

Sounds good! I am good with whatever. My phone is always on me so if we do a forum on here I will always get the message (almost immediately) and tell you to eat the salad when you need it!!
Looking forward to new friends.

I have to say I made another friend on an infertility forum and she lives 1000 miles away. We have both since become moms and still are closer than some of my friends that I have had forever. It's nice when someone is in the same situation as you. I never met this friend in person but long ditance friends can become very close. We even Skype chat with our children now!!

Whatever method works best for you ladies is fine by me. I'm on email all day at work, and text message like a fiend, so if you want a texting buddy, I'm all for that too!

Jilly - That's amazing! I am definitely down for making new friends too. I agree, that when you're in the same situation it's much easier! You have a lot in common already, ya know?

Pokey - Yeah, I pretty much have my e-mail up all day too and I text all the time!

I dunno I'm thinking e-mail might be easier...what do you guys think?
