When I'm stressed I do my best to take care of things that are in my control. I make sure I do my laundry, clean, do my homework, wash my car... I dunno, I do whatever needs to be done. It helps clear my head and make me feel like I'm doing something productive.
As for the things out of your control, you just have to wait and remind yourself that they aren't in your control. Also, stress isn't really anything but a feeling. The world isn't going to stop spinning, you're not going to die. Everything will move forward and work itself out in time.
