Read my signature, it always helps me get my butt into the gym when I'm not really feeling it!

GO!! Think of how good you'll feel afterward. Do you have a reward system? I get a reward after 20 workouts.

Also, I find your user name to be pretty inspirational. Never again do you want to go down the slippery slope of "No workout today" (on days when you planned to work out) and find that one day becomes 2, becomes 3, becomes . . . well, you get the picture. For me, it's a very easy road to walk, so I have to work out every day I plan to, so that I just don't give up.

Plus, after you work out you can post about it here and every one will congratulate you and send you a carrot.

Default Get back up and finish what you started!

That's what I tell myself when I don't want to go to the gym or diet for the day. And, one more workout means you are one more workout closer to maintenance. Go! And, go 15 minutes longer today than you normally would, to show your mind that it won't win!

Think about the fact that every day you don't go to the gym is an extra day you will be stuck at a weight YOU are not happy with and that YOU have made the decision to change.

It's all up to you, so what are YOU going to do?

On days like that, I just focus on how good I will feel after. I figure I get to pat myself on the back extra b/c I worked out on a day when I didn't want to.

Some days I don't feel like working out. Some days I don't feel like showering. Some days I don't feel like going to work. Some days I don't feel like eating veggies. Some days I don't feel like changing poopy diapers. Some days I don't feel like giving a screaming toddler a bath.

Lol! There are lots of things that I don't always feel like doing... but they gotta be done. And the more you do it - the easier it becomes. Or maybe today is a day you need to switch things up. Use a different piece of equipment!

Girl, GO! You will feel so much better if you do. Each day that we do something that is hard to do, it is less hard the next time we do it! Excuses won't get you to goal!

LOL @ spending all day on facebook. If you can't muster up the energy to go to the gym, at least take a walk. You'll feel better...

I have days like that all the time...I just tell myself to get up and work out for just 10 minutes. Then at the end of the 10 minutes I'll decide whether to keep going. When I was paying for a gym membership it took enough effort to get dressed and get there that 10 minutes wasn't ever enough. I also hated wasting money, so I'd make myself go and do what I needed to do to justify the expense.

I used to say my workouts were an hour long- half an hour to convince myself to do it- and another half hour to actually do it lol

Though to be honest I hated the gym so I just bought a treadmill and use it at home.

So, did you go?

And when I find motivation lacking I always remind myself that nothing will get done unless I do the work... I even chant that while running over and over. Do the work....do the work...do the work!
