A little bit disappointed .... but still in the game!!!

  • Hi Girls!
I started my diet 2 weeks ago and i weighed myself today.... I only lost 4 pounds!!!!... and i feel disappointed because i thought I lost more than that.... Oh God, lost weight is so difficult!!!!. Please girls I need a little bit support before I quit right now.
    Thanks... LucySam77
  • That's 2 pounds per week not bad at all.. Be happy that you are loosing even if is only that. Try to add exercise if you are not already doing it.
  • I'm not going to sugarcoat it -- this won't happen overnight! With time and effort, you will see such huge changes! I mean, three months ago I could never see myself running 2.6 miles a day!!!
  • i am on the same boat! i hate waiting and expect fast results. but alas! all good things come to those who wait.
  • Thank you girls... And you're right I need more exercise Im only walking 3 times a week for 40 minutes, I think Im gonna do it one day more p/week.
  • Another thing... 2 lbs is a LOT!

    That's 7000 calories!

Maybe you could consider tracking it all in terms of calories... ate so many calories, worked out and burned so many calories, lost so many calories.

When you mix up lbs and calories and say "only 2 lbs" it downplays all the hard work you did... so no wonder you feel upset over it.

    A.
  • "Only" two pounds per week? I think that's a LOT! If I was losing at that rate, I'd do a happy dance every morning!

Don't get distracted by all those people claiming they lost 10lbs in two weeks - a lot of that will be water weight, and if your body just does not retain much water, you are not going to lose as fast. Put four pounds of butter together and imagine that you lost that off your body - impressive, no?

I only lose a pound per week atm, but I don't really care, because even if it takes me two years to lose all the excess weight, the end result is the same.

Also please remember you didn't gain this weight in a month, you won't lose it in a month. Good luck on your journey!
  • Guess what? You are going in the right direction. You are making healthy choices and the results are going to show up. If you need extra encouragement to keep going...measure yourself as well. There are other ways you are making progress that are important as well.
