Newbie -- First Mini-Goal

  • Hi there, I'm new here on 3 chicks. Ready for a change. (I keep getting stuck on doorframes when my hips extend past where I'm accustomed to their being!!)

    This morning I weighed 150. I am on a sensible eating (lots of veggies) and exercise plan. Don't want to go nuts at first and get discouraged. So my goal is to be 146 by June 1, which is in 10 days. Every couple of days I will substitute some nutritious fresh vegetable juice (greens, cabbage, etc) for one meal.

    Packed a healthy lunch for work today!

    Goal: 146 (4 lbs) by June 1!!
  • Sounds like you're off to a good start. I started slow too beucase when I make drastic changes all of a sudden, I usually don't stick to them. It's been two weeks and I'm down 3 pounds.
    I tell myself it's a lifestyle change, not a diet.
    Keep up the good work, girl! Take it one day at a time!
  • Rock on. Sounds like your body is pretty responsive to gradual changes, which is good. Unfortunately I have to sort of shock my body into submission, which may not be so good in the long-run. Anyway, hope you meet your June 1st goal!
  • Whoa! Down 3 pounds the first day? What happened? I'm changing this goal by a pound, to 145 by June1.
  • Woops, up a lb. after a little wine last night. Back to business today!
