Default How to shift focus?

My life has been a lot about weight loss these last 4 years, but especially these last 5 months. Now that I'm nearing my goal how do I shift my focus? I feel like I'll have lost a hobby once this journey is over and will need something else to obsess about. I plan on continue to calorie count which I feel is becoming a comfort to me (it's a staple in my daily routine now), and I'm planning on starting some fitness goals and trying to change up my fitness routine regularly, but what do you do without that constant gold star of approval from the success on the scale?

For me, I feel like the real journey will have begun once I hit maintenance. Because I'll be still learning new things like physical fitness & healthier eating. And I know that my weight will fluctuate and I will have to learn to cope with that. I've waited 20 years to try maintenance & I can't wait for the challenge.

For me, weight loss continues to be a focus because I am constantly gaining and losing the same 5-10 pounds. Maintenance is tricky and I don't ever seem to be at the same weight. I drop down to wear I really, really like to be (130-132) and then hold for a few weeks and then eat too much for a few days and go back up and then fight to lose it again. I'm starting to wonder if this is what maintenance is all about for someone who used to be heavy. I don't know. I am now much more into fitness and that has become a huge focus: running, weight training. It's all so much fun. Clothing and fashion is a huge focus too: learning what looks good on me, building my wardrobe, shopping. I should be focusing on making money so I can pay for all of the things I'm buying!

I'm at the same point you are. I've been trying to lose weight my whole life it seems like and now that I'm at my "satisfied" weight, I don't know what to do with myself. I think now my focus will have to shift to exercising and strength training more to firm up. I've also become more aware of how I look. I can fit into more clothes now then I could before, so looking my best is starting to become important.
