Well I don't drink cool aid, but I do use a Walmart brand of crystal light (very few Calories), I count that. But I drink one bottle's worth (32 ounces of water) using that and then another 1.5 bottles worth of reg tap water.

If it's water and you add flavor but not calories or sugar it counts as far as I am concerned.

Yep! Any beverage can count for water, if you're simply talking hydration. Some people don't like drinking sugar free beverages because they don't want artificial sweeteners.

I drink lots of other beverages in my day (coffee, tea, sugar free drinks, diet pop). But count nothing as water but water.

I would count it. Water is water, even if you add some flavor. As long as you're not adding sugar/calories. (And I think over 10 calories. Crystal Lite has some 5 calorie ones, and that's still just water, with a little flavoring.) However, I would not make all of your intake the Koolaid.
