I've been wondering how many protein & fiber grams other people consume per day, because I know protein & fiber help with satiety and I sometimes feel hungry during the day. I'm wondering if I'm not having enough.
According to MyPlate, I'm supposed to have 19 g of fiber and 39 g of protein per day. But most days I eat twice that! (At about 1600 calories.) I make a point to eat high-fiber or high-protein food whenever possible. So what gives? Why am I still hungry?
Does my body just need time to adjust to eating fewer calories?
