I'm 5'9" and my goal right now is to be around 140. The lowest I ever remember being was 158 (for about a day) and I wore a size 10.

My goal is 138 because that's the last weight I can remember maintaining. I was 18 at the time so if it's more like 148 (considering I'm almost 31 and I've had a child) then I think I'll be happy with that. I want to be a size at least a size 10, but probably more like an 8, but we'll see, because I'm a snug 12 right now and I'm pretty happy here and i'm still gettng used to how 12 feels mentally. So we'll see where I end up.

I'm going for voluptuous. At 5'8" that means a BMI at the top end of 24.9, which is 74kg or 163lb. I'll be ecstatic if I get to this. Only 14kg to go...

Since I'm barely 5'1" I'm going for slender...which I'm guessing for me will be around the 110-115lb mark. Given that I've not been that weight since I was 10 years old it will be interesting to see if I ever get there! The lowest I've been in my adult life is 158lbs. (I am nothing if not an optimist )

Starting out, I thought I'd be happy at 132lbs (BMI of 24.9)...but having studied (at length!!! ) the pictures of the 5'1" ladies on My Body Gallery I've come to the conclusion that at 132lbs I'll still look noticeably overweight...I want to look like woman no. 16!

gardendiva, I understand the thick waist thing. I'm sure you'll be able to reach your goal! :-)

, I haven't seen below 200 since that time, too. I couldn't even fathom it really. You'll get there! ...and you'll look fab. I love being tall! :-) ...thanks for the compliment!

Voluptuous all the way, baby!

I'm always going to be curvy, and I wouldn't trade that for anything - I just want smaller, healther curves

I'm glad that the diamond between the legs was brought up. Really, that is one of my biggest goals in loosing the weight. There's something about it that I find sexy and I'd love to have it too!

Yes, I always check out other posters' height and weight just for comparison, even though I am not really comparing myself to anybody. Everybody has a different body type and that has a lot to do with the final results.

Myself, I don't plan on being in any of those categories you mentioned - I want to have well defined muscles and body fat at 19% or possibly evn a smidge lower.

P.S.
Cali, I forgot to add that you look fantastic!

People also wear their clothes differently. I know I wear mine a little too loose, and by my standards (which are probably a bit warped) some people wear their clothes very, very tight. Also, I think many people wear their clothes tighter as they lose weight, and that process happens at a different rate for different people.

Furthermore, some people say their size is the biggest size in their closet (pessimists!), some say the most common size in their closet (realists!), and some say the smallest size (optimists!)

Therefore, it would be quite possible to have two people of the exact same height, weight, body shape, everything, and have one tell you she wears a 22 and the other a 16.

Thanks Tomato! :-)

I agree in that being toned is high on my list, too. I love the way my shoulders and arms look. It feels good to be rewarded after so many long hours of weight lifting. I've got to get back to my side planks. I was doing 40 (20 each side) a day for a long while. I'm obsessed with working my obliques.

Voluptuous, curvy, and super skinny are all a physical impossibility for my body shape and build. I didn't have curves when I was fat and I don't now! My barely B cups and no hips or rear or waist are decidedly UNvoluptuous and UNcurvy. And I was a B at my highest weight too. As a 6 ft tall gal with a huge skeletal frame, I would never look super skinny even if I were underweight.

So honestly, the only label I'm going for is "Not fat". Wanting to be anything else is just setting myself up for disappointment.

I'd love to be skinny. I find thin, androgynous, waif-like bodies in women very attractive. Realistically I'm aiming for thinner and toned with curves tho, as I'm pretty sure my chest and hips aren't about to go anywhere.

I am currently 5'5" and 161 lbs and my goal is 132. I've never weighed that in my adult life so I really have no clue how I'll look, I'm hoping to look pretty much the same just smaller and more toned. With my DD chest and wide hips (like 12" bigger than my waist right now) I don't think I'll ever be super skinny but I wouldn't want to anyway. I think I'm shooting for thin but curvy, is that possible? Lol

and Cali you do look fantastic I can't wait to look like that!

I felt the most healthy and most confident when at 130 on my curvy 5'7" frame -- I have big hips and big thighs (and tiny boobs ) but I thought that it looked really great -- not too skinny/thin for me, but not too much extra either. If I drop down to 120-125, that's way too thin for my size.
