Lauren Tell me about the Diet Clinic. Will they tell you a type of "diet" you should be on? How many calories to eat? Do they recommend supplements? I'm just curious about how it would be different than how you are currently doing things. Maybe you won't know until tomorrow. Do you know anyone else that has been to this clinic? If so what was the recommendation and their results. Basically, just tell me all about it.

Diana - Firstly I should correct myself, it is not a "diet" clinic, it is a wellness clinic. I'm not sure if they have these in the US but it is called SureSlim and I have heard many good things about it. www.sureslim.ca. They don't use calorie counting but base their meal plans on nutritionally balanced meals and help you create a meal plan that corrects your metabolisim. It is medically supervised and all the food that they will make you eat is just general grocery stuff, no special shakes or bars or pills or anything.

But I am not 100% going to get on the program just going for a free consultation.

I'll let tell you more about it on Monday.

But I am excited ... I would really like to start losing weight again.

Did 30 minutes of Just Dance this morning before work and about 45 minutes ago I did a sprint from my house to my (nearly 80 year old) mom's house (not for exercise, but it was still exercise). She fell and couldn't get up but was able to crawl to the phone and call me for help. I live across the street and a couple of houses down. It's not a long distance, but to run at 255 lbs for any distance is exercise (in ice and snow). The plus side is that I got to see some cute firemen who had to come help pick her up - me in my sexy capri length sweat pants and t-shirt (my pjs). lol She wasn't hurt, so that's good.

It was very scary because I wasn't sure what the problem was when she called. Because she stretched to reach the speaker phone and the speed dial button she sounded very far away when she was yelling at me that she needed help. All she said was "I need help" so I didn't know if it was a low blood sugar or what. She is becoming very frail/weak - I am thankful I am so close, but I'm not sure how much longer my older brothers are going to allow her to live alone. They keep saying she needs to go to assisted living - but she's stubborn.
