Default Less weight loss as closer to goal weight, more noticeable?

I was wondering... I've lost about 40 lbs, and as I was 195 to start with, it's pretty noticeable. However, now I only have about 25 lbs left to lose, and I feel soo much bigger than other women at my goal weight (and at my height), like at least another 40 lbs. For those of you closer to your goal weight, have you really found it to be true that the closer you are to your goal, 25 lbs means so much more than when at say 195?? I'm afraid I'll never be as small as the other women, even at my goal weight!!

Imagine it this way.

You have a full roll of toilet paper. Take off one sheet... it doesn't really look much small. Now imagine a roll of toilet paper that's almost empty. One sheet makes a BIG difference!

Especially if you don't have another roll within arms reach

Exactly what I was thinking!

I think this is true. I see on the Biggest loser when they lose ten pounds in one week and you can't see the big difference for that one week. Added together to four weeks of 10 pounds and you see a difference. I also watch other shows like Last 10 pounds and Bulging Brides (anyone else here a weight loss show addict?) and they lose eight pounds and they go down two dress sizes. I think it's because those women are close to ideal weight.

I think it is definitely more noticeable the closer to goal you get. Also, I think that the shorter the person the more noticeable ten pounds makes. This is an extreme example, but my two year old became ill and lost 2-3 pounds. Her clothes were falling off of her. Ten pounds off of me and no one notices. (because of height and all the extra weight I'm carrying).
