Things I won't wear:
Skinny jeans - I think everyone else explained this well enough
High-waisted jeans - not because I have something against them, but because I can't... even most "low-rise" jeans come up quite high on my short torso!
Brown - ok, I wear some, but almost all my shoes, accessories, etc are black so it takes too much planning
Gold - similar to above, everything I have is silver
Shorts - I think they're very teenager-ish
Sweatpants, pajama pants, or yoga pants in public
Rubber rain boots with obnoxious prints - I don't "get" the rain boot thing that's so popular now
Empire waists - I look pregnant enough already, thanks

Things I like to wear:
Bikinis - not because they look good, just because I've always been too short for 1-piece swimsuits
Boot-cut jeans
Cute sneakers - I have awful feet, I can't wear anything else for long
Sandals with low heels and lots of support
Solid bright colors - mostly pink and purple
Short sleeve shirts with sweaters, jackets, etc. over them
Capris

Fun thread.

Would Never Wea:r
1. Blazers - I unexplainably feel like a lesbian when I put one one. I don't think they make anyone else look like a lesbian thought. It's truly one of those items of clothing that makes me cry when I put it on.
2. Suits - Partly the same reason as above but mostly because I don't like wearing rigidly constructed clothes.
3. Ruffles at the bustline - I've got too much bust for that.
4. Puffy cap sleeves - they make my arms look huge eventhough my arms are not huge.
5. Skinny jeans - I love them but my thighs are too big. They're on my wishlist.
6. Bootcut jeans - I like them but I'm tired of them right now. I'm putting them away for a while and focusing on straighter cuts.
7. Ballet flats - well actually I wear them but some people wear these and nothing else, and it turns me off them so I try to limit them.
8. Shorts - I hate the cellulite on my thighs and I don't like sticking to chairs.
9. Button down shirts - too much bust.

I Love Wearing:
1. Leggings - Thank god for leggings.
2. Tunics (with leggings) - Yey, my answer to wearing dresses without showing leg.
3. Tall boots (with leggings)
4. Can you tell I love leggings?
5. Clamdiggers
6. Oversized bags
7. Any clothing that I can buy at Free People, Anthropologie, or Urban Outfitters
8. Spaghetti straps/tank tops - I love my arms!
9. Stilettos - so much easier now that I've lost weight!

S/C/G: See ticker for details. :D

Height: 5'4"

Default

What I won't wear:

Dresses
Skirts
Short shorts (To me, that's anything shorter than halfway down my thighs.)
V-necks
Turtlenecks (I feel like I'm choking if I have any kind of pressure on my neck.)
Choker-style necklaces (See turtlenecks.)
Girly prints (I do NOT look good in flowers, stripes or checkerboard prints!)
Pastels
Brown, red, pink, yellow (I don't look good in those colors. I tried.)
Bathing suits of any kind
Tank tops
"Fitted" sweatshirts
High heeled shoes

What I will wear:

Knit pants
Sweatpants
Hoodies
Zipup sweaters
Anything black, blue, green, purple or gray with and without patterns or images
Sandals
Flipflops

As you can see... I like to blend in with my surroundings. Hard to do that in a cardinal red V-neck with a short skirt on. I just don't look good in a lot of "feminine" clothing styles.

What I Won't Wear:

- Anything that I see a female wearing in MTV's "Jersey Shore" reality series.
- Any heel higher than 2", because my feet are quite bad & I am pathetically out of practice walking in heels.
- Sequins before 6 PM Eastern Standard Time.
- Velour.
- The smoky eye. Usually the eyeliner that gives you this smudged effect has got lanolin in it, and my eyelids get inflamed, swell & start peeling afterward.
- Any pant that my butt mostly emerges from when I bend or squat.
- Any shoe that makes me look hooved or like I have a duck's bill covering my toes.

What I Do Wear:

- Cashmere. It feels so good & I am allergic to wool.
- String of pearls. I feel like a 1950s debutante in them.
- Very dark jeans.
- Clothing whose color is described as burgundy, merlot, wine, plum, etc. It's one of my best colors. Works with my eyes.
- Vintage.

I Don't Wear:

-Skinny jeans - 99% of us are not flattered by this cut...and the 1% who are are size 0 super models.
-Big necked shirts/turtle necks - I just hate them >_<
-Cut off tiny short-shorts - not gonna happen in public...now or ever! Maybe at home, working out, or for sleeping.
- Large flowing florals - No...just no. I'm not a granny.

I Do Wear:

-Dark Wash jeans - They look good on anyone...and you can dress them up!
-V-neck basic black shirt - there are so many things I wear with mine!
-Capri Pants - I get them hemmed a bit, since Im a bit short, so it's not awkward looking on my legs.
-tankinis - they are just too cute
-boy cut undies - again, cute, but also sexy!
- Red or girlie pink lipstick and black 'cat's-eye' liner. Simple...sexy...cute all in an easy look

won't wear:

Skinny jeans: I don't need to remind myself that my ankles are 1/10th the size of my hips

Turtle necks: no shirts are allowed to come up this high...makes me feel choked.

Short-shorts/mini-skirts: cubby+old self-injury scars= gross upper thighs.

Bubble dresses: no thanks!

spaghetti tanks alone: I realized this was not flattering years ago.

I will wear:
dark wash jeans with a boot cut: looks pretty nice on everyone

Lower-cut tops: I have decent cleavage, I'm 21 years old, and as long as I keep it pretty modest, i like it

Dresses and skirts: because I feel like they look better than most shorts one me

Skirted-swim suits: Yep, I wear them and I like mine. Navy and polka dots, its pretty darn cute. I'll switch to swim shorts when I need a new suit but 5 years ago, it was all I could find

That is so funny!

I wouldn't wear:

skinny jeans
short shorts
low cut jeans (my butt is waaaay to big for that)
high heels (I'm only 1/2 inch taller than hubby)

What I love to wear (especially at goal weight):

my favorite pair of jeans (can't fit into them yet, but I can't wait!!!)

long dresses that are sleeveless...these were really inn last year I think.

They look really good on me because of my height.

Just about anything from Anthropology. The clothes are very feminine and sexy all at once and their pants are super flattering for my curves.

Boots with skirts. Love that look!

Love smoky eye look...someone at MAC showed me how to do it, but then again, I'm not allergic to it like Saef.

Lululemon athletic wear. They are super expensive, but last for a very long time and make anyone look about 10 lbs. lighter. That's worth some money!

These things are Brutal:

Jeans without butt pockets - They SCREAM "I'm fat, I'm old and I gave up!"
Stretch pants WITH pockets - So you know where your lip-balm is while you sleep?
Anything with a built-in-vest or faux turtleneck - For women too lazy to put on layers?
Suits
Blazers
Cardigans
Sweaters
Short sleeves - My arms are fat, I'll wear a long-sleeve shirt underneath though.
Shorts - Because I'm not an 8 year old boy
Flat shoes - I only wear these to workout in. Heels make my butt look good.
Floral prints
Cartoonish-like prints - Nurses in these SCARE the **** out of me
Pastels - except gray. I consider it light black
Purple - I don't like the color purple. The actual color. The book is awesome.
Old lady t-shirts. You know, the ones that are always really short and wide and there are 3 pointless buttons at the neck? I hate those. No one looks good in them.
ANYTHING holiday related - Except Halloween. Every day is Halloween.
Long flared skirts - Because only Stevie Nicks is Stevie Nicks
Women's clothes that mimic children's clothes - That is just SAD
Gold - I'm too pale for gold. I look better in silver.
Empire waists - I think they're frightening

These things are Metal:

BLACK It's slimming and more importantly it fits my personality
Low cut tops - I like to show some cleavage. Boobs make the world a better place.
Bras that lift and separate
Thongs - Any other underwear bugs me.
Black pants - Either jeans or polyester
Boots - I love all kinds of boots. My 3" knee boots are my favorites! They're sooo Bettie Page, but I love my 2" heeled boots and my combat boots too. I want some cowboy boots eventually.
Lacy things (Black, Red and SOME White) to layer
Knitted, fishnet or otherwise see-through long sleeve tops (black only)
Velour
Leather
Corsets
Clothes that are laced and tied like boots
Things with skulls on them
Hoodies because I'm always cold
Costumes - Every day is Halloween
Skinny jeans - I guess I'm the only one here that likes them! haha I can't fit into the ones I was wearing when I met my bf yet, but I'm SOOO close!!!
Make-up

Metal Chick, don't worry! I like skinny jeans too! I have 2 pairs that I picked up on clearance because I think that they are going to be a fad that will pass. But I love them! Which is weird because I'll be 47 next week. They remind me of the jeans we wore in the 80s.

Things I won't wear:

elastic waist pants: I think they are the reason why I got to 248 lbs in the first place. They are evil--unless they are pajama pants and flannel and only worn for sleeping not in public.

low rise jeans: nobody wants to see my booty pop out!

stilettos: ouch--give me a wedge or a platform please.

turtlenecks: too confining.

Things I will wear:

skinny jeans: we already covered that, see above.

gold jewelry, especially mixed metals--so versatile.

fitted hoodies

flats: I'm obsessed with them and cannot stop buying them. I had to put them away for the winter , except my black sequined, fur lined ones !

Won't wear:
- Skinny Jeans. Really.....NEVER!
- Bikini.
- Shorts. Never seem to be the right length for me, and they make me look dorky.
- Jogging pants in public.
- Shiny fabrics.
- Big prints.
- Very low rise pants/skirts.
- Blouses/Shirts buttoned, they just never seem to fit!
- Killer heals.
- Gold, green, orange, yellow.

Will wear:
- Skirts, usually with leggings.
- Dresses, preferably tunic type or empire waist.
- Bootcut or baggy jeans.
- Anything that shows cleavage, the part I like the best about myself.
- Most shoes, from Adidas sneakers to high boots.
- Cropped trousers and capris
- Blue, purple, black, grey, brown, pink, white.

I won't wear:
Anything with animal prints.
Really bright colour clothing.

All black...why? because I don't think black makes people look thin, too be honest when I wear all black I feel like I look bigger. Is that weird?

Turtlenecks, they are just ugly.
Skinny jeans with sneakers yuck your feet always look HUGE wearing sneakers with them.

Shorts. I hate shorts always have and always will though I might think different now I got this ugly thing on my leg removed and have a cool scar instead?

Past the knees dresses or skirts.

What I will wear:
Skinny Jeans with boots. Sorry I love boots and love showing them off, but that is the only time i'll wear the skinny jeans.

Cute dresses once in a while (never was a dress person more tom boyish but sometime I love to dress up and look like a million bucks.)

Tank tops, White beaters anything to show off my rock hard abes haha. jk but I do love tanks and beaters.

Hmmmm, I've never seen anyone "emo" wear Uggs and skinny jeans together (or Uggs alone).

The list of what I will wear is much shorter than what I won't wear (although I'm sure that will change as I lose weight), so I'll start with that.

I Will Wear
Bootcut or Flare Jeans
T-shirts
V-neck shirts
Sweatpants (at home, never in public)
Tennis shoes (specifically Vans)
Hoodies
And if its a special occasion I'll wear a floor length skirt and dressy shirt

I won't wear anything not on the list above. :-)

Will not wear:
Bathing suits of any kind (at least not yet)
Elastic waist pants (except for working out or sleeping)
Pajama pants in public (this should be outlawed, especially when you add the slippers)
Straight leg jeans (make me look like an ice cream cone)
Horizontal stripes
Leggings (cannot pull this look off)
Shorts of any kind
Shirts or sweatshirts with any kind of character on them (I am 27, not 7)

Will wear:
Dark color boot cut jeans (love em, love em, love em)
Tank tops with lace on the bottom underneath other shirts (I love this look!)
Hoodies (so COMFY!)
Sneakers (especially my slip on Skechers)
V Neck shirts (but have to wear a tank underneath them)
Sweaters (have to be fuzzy and not scratchy or itchy)

Boy, living in the Mid-west there is no way I could ever go without shorts, (in the HOT summer) or turtle-necks in the cold winters. This summer we had several weeks in a row of hot & humid 90+ degree, I would have died without me some cute shorts for mowing and ball games. This morning it was -18 (actual temp) . I put on a nice thick turtle neck, a sweat shirt and big sweater...

I will never wear:
Skinny jeans (my body is not built for them)
bikini (my body is not built for them)
anything strapless (NO WAY! my arms are not built for them - and sleeveless only at the pool, beach or yard/garden)
those retro polyester funky print shirts/dresses. They always remind me of my grandmas drapes pattern.
those ballet looking flats were only an inch or 2 of your toe is covered. I rather wear sandles and show my lovely toes.
hoodies - not a fan of them

I will wear:
Anything that looks slimming and attractive. From $1 to $1000, if it looks GOOD I'll wear it. Any color and fabric.
