I aim to exercise an average of an hour a day - but a lot of that is yoga, which is fairly gentle. Ahhhhhh, happiness, thy name is a long forward bend.
I recently dropped to 1550 calories daily, at 190lbs 5'2" - I expect to lose about a pound to a pound a half a week at that rate. I have one cheat day during which I eat mexican pig cookies and am allowed up to 2000 calories, so that mucks up the weekly average, but keeps me happy and on track.
Eventually, I expect I will either have to really amp up the cardio or cut my calories further, but right now if I went much lower than 1400 cals a day, someone would die. Horribly. And then be eaten.
