Default crap. don't you hate it when....

you go off yer diet for a few days and gain weight and then have to lose it all over again?! My fam came to town and I had a Christmas party etc and I gained 8 pounds!!! Yesterday, I was good and I lost 3 pounds of the 8 but that still leaves me with a 5 pound setback..I'm assuming its mainly water weight because it's not like I overate THAT much but it's still frustrating.

I currently am avoiding the scale. Not because I'm being bad, but because I put too much value on what the numbers say. Right now I'm working out with a trainer, lifting heavy, running, and my period started...I'm still being good, but I know that scale will not have BUDGED one pound. And it will frustrate me to no end, that I'm working so hard, and this water retention will make it look like I've not accomplished a thing!

(plus I ate 2 pieces of pizza last night, and am feeling more than a little guilty) I didn't go over my calorie count, but it still felt like cheating...

So, instead of the scale, I'm looking at accomplishments now. I ran a MILE yesterday. A mile nonstop. I can't even remember the last time I ran a mile nonstop.

Oh yeah- thanksgiving was killer.... And this month with all the parties and stuff I just want to maintain! I'm not even TRYING to lose this month lol.

So far I'm around 209-210 daily- about 4 lbs higher than my lowest weight- which is fine by me!

ok, i agree, you must have something else going on...because 3 lbs...understandable. But 8 lbs. I know you did not eat 28,000 calories above your BMR. It will come off! Good job on whatever you did to drop 3 of the 8!

Yup, I hate...I lost 40 lbs and when my father passed away a couple of years ago I went into a major funk and put 20 back on just from not working out for almost 3 months. I can't seem to shake the 20 I put back on and it's getting frustrated...I should have just kept going to honor my father who was my biggest supporter.

I ate kinda bad the whole week of thanksgiving (those leftovers have to go away somehow lol) and I gained 10.5 pounds!
I just lost those pounds today...almost 2 weeks later. It took me that long to lose stupid thanksgiving weight. I was so close to earning my goal reward.
(though, I think I'll wait before I order it because I don't want the measurements to be off when it gets here for Ren Fair.)

You better believe I'm not going to do it again for Christmas. My dad got a whole batch of red chili beef tamales and wants us to help him eat them before they go bad...I ate two and it already felt horrible sitting in my stomach so I'm like...okay, that's the only two I'm gonna eat, your on your own dad. So I hope they go bad so no one eats them because everyone in my house is in need to drops pounds.

I was up 2.4 lbs this week, and I'm still mad about it! I overate a little this past weekend, but nowhere near enough to gain 2.4 lbs! It's frustrating! I only weigh weekly, so I'm hoping it will be gone by next week's weigh in. Just when I think I've got this thing under control and understand how the body works, I'm totally confused again! No way on earth I ate enough to gain that weight! It's upsetting, but I need to learn to get less hung up on the numbers.

I lost complete track of my eating for two weeks, returned to some terrible habits, and I am now 11 pounds up. Hoping that some of it is water weight.

Oh gosh, I ate way too much at Thanksgiving!! I gained 6 lbs!! It took me two weeks (today!) to lose it and another 0.5 lb. I can't do that again, it was too emotionally trying for me to know I was so close to a healthy BMI and just a few days (meals) later, I'm farther away. ARRGGHHH!!

My parents are visiting for xmas, but I'm cooking so I can control portions and the amount of oil I use. Plus, I can limit the number of dishes made, something I can't do at my mom's house. Hubby and I are only going up for a few days for New Year's, so I shouldn't do as much damage as at Thanksgiving. I feel you though!!

Do what I do when that happens- take them to work! lol. I've given so much food away at my work and hubby's work- they can have the calories! The boys at my hubby's work LOVE when I send stuff over- they are all skinny rails though and can handle it
