My scale can go to , well you know where. It looks like I will post a gain for the month of October. What gives??? I am back over 180. Why??? I am going to try what worked in July. 45 min. workouts and eating out once a week.
We'll see.

jen - BMI is actually a really poor measure for people who have larger bone structures or are really athletic - we were just talking about this in one of my classes this week. I have a prof. who works with American Indian populations on diabetes and obesity issues, and she said they much prefer to use a waist to hip ratio over BMI.
also... glad to hear your DS is feeling better this morning! I'm feeling a little uneasy in my throat on and off but I think it's largely due to lack of sleep recently.
EZ, I have been freezing here the 50s and 60s these past few days. I sure got soft quick - 24 years in Pennsylvania and after ONE measly year in Arizona I can't take the cold anymore!
Mindy, I keep attempting to fire my scale but as it turns out the replacement for the job (the pants-o-meter) is showing about the same reading... grr! Better luck in November!

ohhh. well then Iris..I have ALMOST the perfect sexy .8 waist to hip ratio. Maybe that is why people think I look good??? either way, I WANT to get down to my ideal weight. I have to stay toned though. I don't want to l look like a bag of wrinkled skin.
Well, Ds is way better. His dance production was so awesome. I love dance myself. So it really tickles me to see him enjoying himself doing it. It was God! Because I don't have money for dance school, but ds's teacher is an awesome Christian Choreographer and director. And he puts together the most awesome productions!
EZ I am so proud of you, you can do it. I know I asked you b4. Do you want to try food journaling? Also how tall are you? You look pretty good in your pic. It may JUST BE the beer contributing to the gut--sorry to say it.
Tiger, as much as I hate the objectiveness of my scale--I know it is telling me the truth--like Iris--if you don't listen to the scale, the pants-meter will tell you the same thing. I feel stuck too.
I went for another 30 minute brisk walk with ds. I had to get over the GUILT of having all this other stuff to use--and feeling overwhelmed about using them...and JUST GO FOR A WALK! i LOVE this weather.

wow! it's dead at 3FC. After taking in over 2000 cs yesterday, I am down from 180.6 to 178.6. go figure. Alright, I'll take it. Back to 1600 today though.
I ate a good lunch. I am leaving some space for a *little* candy. And then will have a good dinner.

Hi TEAM ~
Another morning at 185....dang....
Angie and I went to Islands last night. I thought about the mushroom/swiss burger that I like with fries but got the Island tacos...a little better in calories. No leftovers!
Kept my beer in-take good for me for the 4th day in a row...yipee...Budweiser stock down...more at 11....
I had one Coors light and 2 Budweiser 55's...1/2 the calories..or more...1/2 the alcohol and 1/2 the taste...wink....before we went to dinner and 1 Coors light there....that was all...the equivalent of 3 beers..good for me.
Having trunk or treat at church tonight...not a problem for me on that one...I swear I don't have 2 pieces of candy in an entire year most of the time. Can't remember the last time I had a candy bar. Every few years I get hungry for an almond joy...the last time I mentioned it Angie bought me a small package of the mini candy bars...I had 1...they sat in the cupboard for months until we threw them out...chips last about 2 minutes in there...
Great job on the loss JEN...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry that I've been absent and have been doing badly in responding and posting back.. Looks like there's been a lot going on with everyone. :-)
As for the well wishes in regards to my stomach I appreciate them and yes my stomach seems to be on the mend. I have no idea if I was just stressed out or what. I haven't really jumped on the scale this week. I did go to the doctor this past Monday to be sure about an issue I was having and to ask some questions basically and the nurse did comment on my weight loss since July and said to keep it up. So that was nice.
Everywhere I go it's halloween halloween this year it seems.. I've got a party I'll be going to as well tonight. Hubby and I are going to eat before so we don't get in trouble snacking. Have a Happy and safe halloween everyone!

ok, so I didn't pig out on candy, but went a teeny weeny bit overboard on calories....I had a drink and a taco--carry me a little further than I wanted.
EZ, I love candy. I wish I wasn't addicted. Must be nice. I would be soooo skinny if it wasn't for my dang sweet tooth.
blonde, I didn't know your tummy was bothering, I am glad you are feeling better. Hope everyone had a good night.
Have a HUGEO test in the morning. Have to study. But went for a 30 min walk again this morning. I did a few 1/2 pull ups and leg lifts (abs) on my pull up bar--and I am pretty sore.
today was 178.4. LOL. my pedometer said I burned 752 extra calories. I took in about maintenance. .2 lb loss from yesterday =700 cs.

Glad Halloween is over. It is one of those holidays I am not really interested in. Had one cookie at our class party. Wish I could avoid sweets, but I've got that sweet tooth action happening. Hey, one cookie isn't bad.
I am upping workouts to 45 min., most days anyhow. I am allowing myself one cheat meal a week also. This planseemed to work in July. Maybe it will work in Nov. I gained .4 in Oct. WTH??? If someone would just tell me what to do, I'd follow along like a dog after a bone. Trying to figure this out myself is killing me.

Got myself back on track yesterday food-wise and promptly had a 2 lb - GAIN!
Probably due to water retention, I know, but it did raise a bit of a sigh...
Oh well, onwards and downwards

Eve, what part of PA are you from? I am from Lancaster - "Amish Country."
Gary, isn't it sad that things like "B-E-E-R" are four-letter words? Wine, too!
Dutch, you are right - just stay on track and I'm sure you'll be moving downwards soon!
