What a wonderful idea! =) I think I will pick up some laughing cow on my grocery store trip today.

Well TEAM all I have to say is THANK-YOU and you know me all too well

Moderation????????

Sorry...if I could go there my life would be so much easier.....

Son calls me up about 5 minutes before he and dil were to pick us up...says "Pops...I don't think we want to hang out there all day...why don't I keep it cool on the beer...one or two and pick you up, stay until the half and watch the rest at home on your TV...."

So that is what we did...except I had 3 beers...25 oz. each...dang... and since it was buy one get one free pizza...we did...split one there and brought one home that we split....

USC won ....so the way I see it...

it was a CALORIE FREE DAY!!!!!!!!

Gary, Gary, Gary.
M-O-D-E-R-A-T-I-O-N
  • quality of being moderate and avoiding extremes
  • easing: a change for the better
  • temperance: the trait of avoiding excesses
Now you KNOW the word. The next step is putting it into practice.

Oops - 2 hours and 54 minutes left, I'm ashamed. I promised to be good on this special day.

Well I guess I'm still working on the moderation part myself.. I have gained back 3 pounds myself this week due to stress eating. So I've still got some work to do. Speaking of work to do, I realized I've got some work to do on myself as well. I've really been in need of some encouragement this past week due to a lot of stress more than usual since I've been worried about my mother and the home health care situation and I'm not sure if it's the people I am surrounded by or if I've somehow fostered this environment but I got a lot of sarcastic and in general unhelpful comments this past week on a lot of things I mentioned I was doing or needed to get done when asked questions and some of the comments I got really hurt my feelings and some of them just plain frustrated me and some of them were just plain inappropriate in front of the children I work with.. So I realized today maybe I'm fostering that type of environment by doing that as well and not even realizing it since I can be sarcastic at times but I never thought that I did it when someone was down and perhaps needed some encouragement. I certainly hope I don't have a habit of doing that. So from now on I will be working harder to be positive or just say nothing at all..and we'll see what I get in return! :-) Anyways come on team!! Lots of Football going on today.. I turned down taking home a panful of chocolate cake tonight!

Blond, way to go on the chocolate cake! That shows real strength as far as I am concerned.
I firmly believe that what you put out into the world, you will receive back manyfold, so yes, by all means be attentive about how and what you say to others and be positive in your attitude. And don't forget to be kind to yourself as well, make sure there is time in the day for you!

HI TEAM

Getting a bit "cheesy" around here.....

Well I forgot.....thank goodness....to weigh myself this morning. I think that is only about the 3rd time since I started this journey (other than working out of town)...tomorrow will tell the tragedy of yesterdays pizza and beers!

Trying to be good today....skipped breakfast and ate brunch after church....walked the dogs for 3 miles then had a canned salmon sandwich and a FEW chips...just a few...gotta have 'em with a sandwich right?

Angie is on her way home, we have a big ta-do at church tonight with desserts.....I can skip that easily....but then we will probably go out to our Mexican joint for dinner if she is up to it...I hope....

Be good to yourselves TEAM!

Nice to see some new visitors....stick around if you need to lose 5 pounds or more...our TEAM (all of you) GUARANTEES IT...can't beat that....
