  • If not you should get one!!
I missed my 1 hour walk to day, my sons father got home after dark, and it was raining, and I felt terrible that I could'nt go on my walk!! I'm so motivated and now I can do my workout for today! Then I thought.....I'm going to do boxing on the Wii for 30 minutes....and BOY it's a workout!!! I did it for 32 minutes and was sweating ALOT just like my workout!! So I just wanted to let you all know that the Wii is a good way to workout! So i eventually got my workout!!! (Too bad it was just about bedtime) But i'm happy that I found something to do!
  • Hey I got a wii too! My favorite is boxing and tennis =) I played boxing last week and the next day my arms were sore from throwing so many punches lol and today I played bowling and phew....I didn't put the strap on and got to excited and the control flew off my hand and hit the wall it almost hit the tv lol
  • I have to agree. Nothing else does it for me on the Wii other than the boxing! Its crazy. I work up a sweat big time!! Good post!
  • I ♥ my Wii!
  • I've been thinking about getting one, but they're sooo expensive. I don't even think I could afford it as a reward down the line...maybe if they drop the price!
  • I love our Wii. I have not been using it enough lately. I need to get the balance board and maybe an exercise game. I kind of got burnt out playing the sports games. It is fantastic though. Up on your feet moving around.

True though they are expensive as are the accessories. I got lucky and my mom bought us one last year for Christmas.
  • Well, If you have a chance you dont need any games or anything with it...it comes with wii sports. its still spendy by it self though....i got it for my 4 year old for his bday a few weeks ago (credit card lol) But its awesome! So now i know I can box when i cant go on my walk lol!

Cheerios: I know lol! I was sweating so bad I was happy it worked lol! Ya I never tye that thing to my wrist and the strap is always hitting me in the face lol and i threw it a few times!!
  • I consider my Wii more of an obstacle to exercise than anything but I agree, every time I do that boxing I've gotten a pretty good workout from it!

I was surprised by how hard I worked during the new Tiger Woods Golf game, too... you really have to swing like you're golfing! No "cheating" while sitting down like you can with bowling or something.

I think part of it is the new Wii Motion Plus attachment... which makes me wonder how the new Wii Sports Resort is for a workout. Anyone have that??

Actually, they're bringing it down to $199 soon (if they haven't already), since all the other consoles are dropping their prices too.
  • i love it too! and my wii active!
  • No! But I want want soooo bad. With my daughter just starting pre-school ($$$) I don't see one in my future for some time. I hear they are lowering the price by 50 bucks but still . . sheesh . . being a parent makes getting fun things for myself difficult.

Maybe with our tax return . . maybe . . we've already decided we're probably going to pay of our daughters pre-school for the year with most of that so we'll have to see.
  • I do.. Never worked out with it though.
  • Yes I do and LOVE IT!

My favorite right now if the EA Sports Active. If you thought you sweated before you have not seen anything. They have some SERIOUS lower body work. The squats and lunges are killer. My favorite squats are (1) you drop and hold the position for like 40seconds (and with the leg band it can tell how far down you are and you have to stay within a range on the screen) and (2) you squat roll to the balls of your feet, roll back and stand. First time doing that one I was cussing out the trainer
  • That is what I started and still do my excercise with. I started with the Wii fit and then I got the EA Sports Active. Now I am using the My Fitness Coach. I also have the Resort games and the main games too. I looooooooove the kick boxing. Have been considering getting a game just for that!!
  • Hula Hoop.
  • Hubby & I are getting one for ourselves for Xmas this year! - I can hardly wait! ... my freighbor has one, and we bowled ourselves silly at a party one night... the next day, my arm was SOOO sore! I was really surprised! - then we tried the boxing & the tennis and the baseball... we got hooked. And yes, they have lowered the Wii price by $50 (Xbox got lowered by $100!) ... so extra yay! Come'on Xmas!!!!
