Default 12 pounds to go and need to stay on track

I'm down to my last 12 pounds...I started at 262.4 and am now down to 140.5...just 12 more pounds to go and I'm at my goal weight.

This is HUGELY exciting to see the end in sight (and truthfully still somewhat unbelievable) BUT I didn't anticipate how hard it would be once I got to this point.

Through my weight loss I have been super focused, staying strong on my diet and exercise plan. Now I'm still super strong on exercise but I'm finding the diet harder than ever to focus on. I'm not sure if it's "that time of the month" or being so close but I want to eat EVERYTHING.

Need to stay focused so I can get through that last little bit.

First and foremost, on your loss so far.

The end IS rough. Not only is your loss slower (less to lose = slower loss, as you're finding out), but you start thinking, "hey, I look pretty good, right?" and people start commenting like you're at goal already.

But beyond wanting that last 12 off, you do want to keep this weight off for life, right? Because as 3FC and the Maintainers have taught me (and I have LIVED), this is for life. And you're going to have to be focused, at least somewhat, pretty much forever. So the "end" is just another beginning, anyway, if that makes sense.

So get on track, stay committed, and keep going. You'll get there, and you'll keep it off, by staying on plan.

You have proven you can do this with your amazing losses so far. Now keep at it!

Absolutely congratulations!

And well done for identifying a dangerous and tough time. Last time I got to within 16, before regaining 80. Idiot.

Hugs as you go!

I couldn't say it better! I, too, am at my last few pounds, and yes, it's so easy to say, I've lost so much and I look pretty good, and start to slack. But to me, I made a promise to myself, and, I have NEVER made my goal before. Never even got close. So every day I remind myself of this and tell myself THIS TIME is different. And I am going to finish what I started. Congrats to you and keep going. I cannot imagine how amazing it's going to feel the day we do step on that scale and see the number we've been striving for. It's been a 3 year journey thus far for me, and even if it takes a bit longer (Yes, weight loss is at a crawl for me but that won't deter me) I am determined to make it. And you will too!

Make sure you're hanging out with the Maintainers here ... even just lurking. They are fabulously supportive!

I hear ya on this one....I've got about 20 to go and it is just getting slower and harder for me too. But I'm going to keep at this, no matter how long it takes. Hang in there!
