Default When your stomach is growling

Something that has always helped me when I am really hungry and my stomach is particularly noisy. I like to think of it as my stomach eating itself. Sounds gross maybe, but I say growl stomach growl!

Love the idea! I don't get the growlies often (why, oh why, do they occur most often during staff meetings, lol???). Funny how they give up and go away after a bit - it's almost like they're testing to see if they can get you to eat off plan. My dog used to do the same thing.

Why not plan a healthy, weight-loss friendly snack so that your stomach isn't growling?

Point well taken JayEll.

Usually my statement is followed closely by, "... and I need to get something to eat" - LOL. I don't usually sit around with my stomach growling!

Good for you if this helps you, but personally, I never allow myself to get to the point when my stomach is growling. When I reach that point, I would eat twice the amount of food that I normally do before my stomach would register that it's full.

When my stomach is growling, it means I'm genuinely hungry, not just craving something. And when I'm hungry, I eat!

Yes, I do not want my stomach to growl either! It reminds me about food, and I don't want to think about food any more than I have to!!

I like it when my stomach growls it reminds me I haven't eaten and I'm not binging. Usually if I drink water my stomach stops growling.

My stomach tends to make growly noises a lot, even when I'm not hungry. Don't know why. It does it a lot less now that I eat better and on a more consistent schedule, but still does it. I often have to drink water to quiet it down.

One of the things I realized when I finally lost a bit of weight a few years ago was that I actually felt hungry. I never let myself feel hunger before that. It was like I was walking around 'full' for my adult life.

Why is it that your stomach ONLY growls when you are in a quiet room with people, usually trying to make a good impression.

And when mine growls it sounds like an alien being is about to burst forth through my stomach and everyone is looking at me like I made a sound that's very similar to stomach growling.

That's funny!

I don't allow myself to get starving or it's murder for my weight loss journey. I plan meals and snacks with lots of protein so I stay full longer. In the morning before breakfast though it's a growly beast.
