Default Healthy C-Stores???

Is this happening elsewhere? I just ran to the convenience store real quick to grab my DD a banana and an orange. That is not how things used to be (by our standards OR the store's ).

When I started eating better, I did start going to a Mavarik instead of my old stand by when the end of the work week would close in and the house ran out of food because they have salads and boiled eggs and such. But, lately I've noticed, many of the quickie stores have fresh fruit and such right by the register. OK, so the donuts are still sitting there on the other side too, but, it is nice to have a better option.

Has anyone else seen this going on?

Yea actually, I did notice a whole lot of produce in the last year at my local convenience store! I thought it was kind of weird, but great. If I ever go in there it's because I've broken down and want some candy so maybe its good to have the fruit right there as a reminder.

The Quick Trip & the Shell stations near me all seem to have fruit now, plus more of the meal replacement & protein bars individually sold, a good juice selection. Pretty cool. I remember when I used to run into the local Sing Store for a Dr. Pepper and a candy bar from the marketing rack inside the soda cooler... Now I get juice or water and a banana or a protein bar. My how times have changed.

Hmm, I never go into convenience stores but that is good to know in case we do a road trip sometime in the future.

Our local convenience store has started putting bananas and apples up front, and also stocking those 100 calorie snacks as well. I also noticed that its selection of water varieties is just as big as its selection of caffeine-laden products. Used to be that you could barely go in the place and get anything OTHER than a coke to drink if you were thirsty...
