  • there is about a 3lb difference between scales. Wii Fit weighs me less that bathroom. Which do you think is more accurate? My bathroom scale only does .0 or .5 where the Wii Fit does .1 or.2 and so on.
  • My Wii Fit weighs me a little less too, so I go by my bathroom scale.
  • My wii fit is always wrong. It says I'm less than the scale at weight watchers, which I know is right. So I'd stick with the bathroom scale!
  • Yeah, I don't trust my wii fit either, I was hoping it was wrong, but oh well.
  • The Wii Fit and the scale in my home weighed me about the same (the difference was only .4 pounds). I only use the Fit scale now though so that I don't get concerned with too many numbers!
  • I swear I am the only person whose Wii Fit weighs heavier than the bathroom scale. Drives me nuts! I go by the bathroom scale because it makes me happier.
  • I don't think it matters which one you use as long as you consistently use that one. I weigh myself on the WiiFit twice a week, and while it might be a pound or two off "reality", it still tells me if I'm going up or down just the same.

Actually that has been a problem too. There are several times that my bathroom scale has said I lost weight (or more commonly stayed the same) and the Wii Fit had me gaining over a pound! I really don't get it!!
  • I'm more concerned about the change in weight (a general downward trend) than the actual number too, in the big picture. So I guess the real reason I don't use the Wii Fit Scale is because the Wii is downstairs in the family room, and I don't want to have to go down there in my nightie first thing in the morning and fire up the Wii and projector just to do my weigh in when I've got 3 kids clamoring at me for breakfast.
  • My bathroom scale is pretty horrible in terms of accuracy because it's always getting knocked around by the dog or you touch it wrong and the dial moves. So I'll weigh myself on the wii every day before dinner. It may not be completely accurate either, but I really love that it charts it. So even if it's weighing me more or less than a calibrated scale, at least I can see the trend moving in a direction.
  • I use the wii fit at home and the trainer I have been seeing has one too. They are about the same. Hers is slightly heavier than the fit but then I am always fully dressed in the office and there is no accounting for my clothes going on.
  • it's been awhile since i've used my wii fit but I think i remember that you can set it to take into account clothing whereas a home scale doesn't, so you may want to check your settings.

I do use that feature on the fit but I meant the trainer's scale doesn't account for the clothes.
  • I see......hmmmm....

well, i think it's most important to always use the same scale to measure your progress.
  • the wiifit always tells me i gained, even if the bathroom says i lost. i go with the one that makes me want to keep working at it
