Default skin/hair changes and a creaping metabolism

about 3 or 4 months ago, I started noticing a change in the look of the skin on my hands... they were getting an aged look to them. since then, i've noticed the same thing on my legs and on my face... i don't think it's the weight-loss related skin issues that most people talk about, because when it started, I'd been maintaining for about a year.

I've been fighting a losing battle with the scale and my wills lately... and noticed that in the last two weeks or so, it's gotten much worse (holiday issues aside...). Then this morning, I realized that my weight started creeping up right around the time i noticed the changes in my skin...

then there's the hair... and I don't mean the hair on my head... any hair that needs to be shaved. I used to be a monkey if I went more than a day without shaving my legs... now i can go 3 or 4 days before it starts to get to me... this has been getting more prominent over the past month or so.... (not that it *really* bothers me, lol)

don't get me wrong... but I'm only 27... isn't that a little young to have my body turn on me? and has anyone else gone through anything similar... I'm beating my head against the wall to come up with an explanation...

Skin and hair changes can be about many things. Your diet is a big influence on your skin and hair ... are you eating super low fat or really limiting your diet in some other way?

Aside fro that, which is really my first instinct - that you're not eating enough fat - I'd make a dr's appointment and just make sure that your hormone levels are solid. Have your thyroid checked, etc.

Honestly, I haven't been limiting anything in my diet... if anything I'm probably eating too much fat, lol.

The hormones are what I'm figuring is playing into it... I'm starting to worry that it's tied into my BC, but I've been on it for 2 1/2 years now...
