For the life of me I can't imagine having to set an alarm to remind myself to eat. That would never, EVER happen. I've been known to be forgetfull every now and then - but not when it comes to eating. I was never one of those folks who'd say, "Oh it's 2:00 and I've forgotten to eat". No sireee, not me.

During the week I eat about 7 times a day, sometimes 8. A bit less on the weekends.

It's definitely an individual thing. Eating small snacks throughout the day helps me loads.

6-8 times a day, depending upon a variety of things (activity level, schedule, travel, etc.)

Eating less food more often seems to be one of those aha things for me.

It's not that I've forgotten to eat necessarily, but because of years of screwing around with my system - over eating and under eating - my hunger triggers are messed up.

So I can eat a normal sized lunch and breeze through the next 6 hours w/out thinking about it - especially if I'm involved in a good book, a work project, whatever. Then suddenly it's 6:30 and I've moved beyond hunger into absolutely ravenous and I could easily eat plates and plates of food. And sometimes would.

So there are days that I do actually set the reminder on my computer so that I'll have my afternoon snack. It means that at dinner time I'm not so hungry that I'll suck down 1000 calories w/out thinking.

On most days, I eat 6 times a day. But there are also days when I eat 5x or 7x a day - it varies.
I definitely don't need any alarm clock to remind me to eat every 3 hours. My stomach does it happily for me. I am hungrier in the a.m. than in the p.m. I can barely last 3 hours after my breakfast. Around 5 pm or so, my appetite goes into a "stand by" mode and I can last longer without eating.

I try to eat at least eat 5 times. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack then dinner. I do that to keep from binge eating at dinner. Dinner is always the time I over eat till Im stuffed and so if i am already slightly full, or at least not very hungry then the food just isn't quite as appealing

I eat 6 or 7 times a day. This way I never get to the point of being so hungry as I used to do and would eat everything in easy reach not even thinking about how many calories I would consume. Looking back now I shudder to think about how many I would eat mindlessly just because I had gone for hours without food.
