Terrific!!! Way to go!
If there was tons and tons of food and alcohol being served at a non-profit organisation fundraiser kick-off...then you have your first suggestion on how to raise money in the bag!!! I realize you have to spend money to make money, but people do learn by example. If you can get them to cut the food and alcohol budget in half, and donate that to the fund, that would be some mega bucks made with out even trying!
Oh geeze, here I go again! I am an accountant by trade

As a non profit exec, we ply folks with food and liquor because they spend more money at the auction and in pledges! (Sad but true, you should hear my friends in the substance abuse agencies, complain because they can't serve liquor at their benefits.
More importantly, utterly, you should feel great! What a victory! I hope you also felt your resistance muscles strengthening just a bit with that workout. Hopefully you felt great, and can do it next time again, even a bit more easily.

I feel the first two weeks are the very hardest. You seem to be doing beautifully though. GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Keep at it. Just keep on going. You are on FIRE!!!
And remember, nothing, absolutely nothing tastes as good as being thin FEELS.

So true!!!!
But if we're ever going to get anywhere - that's EXACTLY what's needed. It's that consistiency that's required. This way we don't go down 3 lbs, gain 2, down 2 lbs, gain 3........
The great thing about it is though, the more we DO stick with it, the easier it gets. You get accostomed to doing it. You know that you CAN do it. You build up confidence. You realize that you can do without "those foods". And eventually, you feel soooo darn great about the weight loss, and treating your body well, that you don't even desire "those foods" anymore. It's all good.

Yaaaaaa!!! Good for you for resisting all that junk! I think you just passed one big hurdle. Hopefully the rest of the journey will be a bit easier for you now. You've already got "NO" down, and thats really what it takes. Keep up the great work and i bet you see another 5 pounds gone soon.
