For all EMOTIONAL Eaters!

Not sure what forum to actually post this in so here it is. I have this posted on my fridge and I see it every time I want to eat! It has helped me many times to think about why I am eating? Is it because I am hungry? Or because I am "feeding" an emotion? Hope it helps you all too!

I have been doing a lot of reading in emotional eating.
I've looked into how hormone imbalances can effect your hunger or eating.
When you are down, seritonin levels drop. When your seritonin levels drop, your brain tricks your body into thinking it is still hungry and craves sugars and unhealthy carbs.

Obviously we all want to be happy, but i never relaized how much emotions and hormones effect what i crave.

The list you posted, blzmax, is awesome and makes yo stop for a minute and think about why you are eating, or what you want to eat! I love it!

i find if you are still craving these items and whatnot, the supplement 5-htp helps raise your seritonin and take away those cravings!!

emotional eating sucks, I will be printing off the list you posted! thanks!

Thanks! This is going on my refridgerator a.s.a.p:)

WOW!

Thanks for this. I always thought "emotional eating" was about eating when sad or depressed...but these distinctions have made me realize that 85% or more of my eating is emotional. I am putting this on my fridge and in my wallet!

I feel like crying; this is so liberating.

:carrot: (Or just dancing like a carrot ;))

Fantastic list! Really great! I think even people who don't consider themselves "emotional eaters" will find some things there that they do. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I never realized I was an emotional eater for the past 5 years until recently. A lot of things on that list apply to me and probably a lot of us out there.
