Would this be a bad day?

  • I guess this is the place I come to ask questions, for encouragement or help. So here goes it.

Today, I woke up especially curious how it would go. I was having a Girls night out party for the end of our Co-Ed soccer games. Anyways we were ordering a Pizza so as you know im on a diet I was a little worried, although I did want to endulge a little.

So Today I pretty much tried to cut out all salts, and I do know maybe I didnt eat enough today but, I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, not fiber, but its still cereal. And I did, skip lunch. And I ended up going to the party afterall, and had 2 slices of pizza hut pizza. and 1 banana.

Basicly im curious, will I be retaining alot of water? I had about 1800mg of sodium today.

And would that be bad, as far as weight loss/fat loss, goes for a day?

Sorry if I ask to much, its just a place that I feel I can talk about all my weight problems. Thanks :]
  • I wouldnt consider that a bad day. You could have probaly ate more. I dont ever think my sodium has been that low. I average 2400-3400mg per day, and Ive never had a problem retaining water unless I have a splurge or two.
  • I know that when we start out, it's easy to go to an extreme, but honestly, that's what I'd expect a toddler to eat for a day. It's not enough food or variety.

1 bowl of cereal, 1 banana and 2 slices pizza? Thats not a balanced day at all.

Use www. fitday .com or www. thedailyplate .com to track and you'll see that a lot of nutrients are lacking. There's no substitute for whole foods, vegetables, natural foods!
  • I have to agree with SoulBliss. It seems that you're so focused on sodium and retaining water, that you're not being sensible. 2 slices of pizza is not a crisis. 1 slice of a Pizza Hut supreme pan pizza has 320 calories. So 2 slices of pizza has 640 - hardly blowing your dinner budget for calories, especially if you only had a bowl of cereal all day.

Seems like for today you probably ate less than 1000 calories all told.

You've had no veggies (other than whatever was on the pizza), and little fiber, and basically, as SoulBliss said, no balance.

You need to really look at all the nutrients you're consuming throughout the day and not just focus on one thing - like the sodium and water retention.
