I am doing a cleanse, and today is day 1. And before you draw any conclusions, it is not a cleanse were you take some cleansing solution that is unnatural. I am doing it naturally with real vegetable and fruit juices, that I make personally, and a broth recipe that I have which consists of vegies and water. I just need people to give some nice words, supportive words, because I'm starting to wonder if I'll even last another day and you are supposed to it for 3-7 days. So please niceness only, no bashing. Thanks.
The cleanse is supposed to help to change my eating habits, plus you can lose a little weight, and I am making up my own. It is just basic with real fruits and vegies, but no citrus fruits cause those can make you sick with a cleanse.
I don't have a problem with doing something for a few days to jump-start a weight loss program. In the French Women books they talk about a vegetable soup they use over a long weekend if their clothing gets tight.
We all know the pitfalls of crash diets. You seem like a smart gal. I'm not worried about you falling into that kinda trap.
I had read somewhere *sorry I can't remember * that sometimes we do need cleansing because there is stuff in us that prevents some stuff from getting out and I'm sorry, its a vague memory.
Good luck! I hope you get from your program whatever you are attempting to acheive by doing it, and that you meet your goal of staying with the program for a few days, then successfully transition to a more sustainable eating plan.
I hope that you succeed, I've heard that if you get past the 3rd day on any type of food fast or cleanse then the rest is smooth sailing. Also, fruits and veggies can be quite filling, so kudos to you for making something happen for yourself.
Good luck I do occasional vegetable soup fasts and things like that, just to get myself back in order. Usually only three days, but I have heard of people that go longer. As long as it's healthy and helpful, shouldn't be any problem Let us know how you do!
