Default Questions about fat grams and etc..

I apologize if this has been brought up before but I couldn't find the information I'm looking for and am short on time. I have a fit day account myself but I'm still not all that great at using it. I'm a tad bit confused about what percentages I should be eating as far as protein/carbs/fat. Can anybody recommend a good book or etc that will educate me and I can make better decisions? What brought on this question was that I noticed the 100 calorie packs that I so love like the Hershey kisses one for example has 30 calories from fat and I was thinking that's a lot and I just kind of realized I'm clueless still about nutrition. I'm taking a nutrition class starting next week so hopefully that will help as well. But I would love it if someone could recommend a good book that I could get at Barnes and Nobles and maybe one that also has a work out plan with strength training included that only includes dumbbells since I do not have a gym membership.

Thanks,
Brit

For fat grams, I think the most accepted statistic is 30% or less per day. I usually aim for 30% fat, 30% protein, and 40% carbs (when I am on plan). I should be trying to get more protein, but I am working my way up. It took me forever to get the fat under control LOL.

Hey! It depends on what kind of plan you're following (low carb vs. low fat, etc.) and how much exercise you're doing. If you go here you can compare different percentages of nutrients:

For your question about working with weights, go to the 3FC Weight and Resistance Training Forum:

Cheers!

Jayell-
thanks very much for that website. I've already bookmarked it.
