Question How do you get your bf in the gym with you?

I asked a similar question in the depression section,
However, KNOWING that 'i can't do it for him' and 'i can't make him change'
What are some ways to motivate your partner to get healthy?
I was able to take his measurements last week when I took mine.
I have noticed that he thinks he needs to lose weight, he was looking @ old pics. Also, he does want to be healthier too.
What are some good baby steps to help motivate him?

Can you do something romantic for eachother for every 5 times you go to the gym? Or offer to give him a massage after he lifts (to prevent soreness... ) Can you buy him a new gadget? (A pedometer might be good...I've found that males like technological gadgets and are more apt to use them...a new MP3 player might be motivating as well).

You can also mention that you find muscles hot. As we all know, though, ultimately he is going to have to make the decision he wants to get healthier...you can't do the work for him!

I have never been able to talk DH into going to the gym...but in the last year he has started walking and riding bikes with me. See what you can find to do together that you both enjoy.

In the summer, my husband and I played tennis once a week. He always beat me but I made him sweat! That may not work for you now with the colder weather unless you know of an indoor court. But the idea of playing a sport instead of working out on a machine may appeal to him.

My bf finally joined the gym when he realized that I have more muscles than he does.

But we did also buy bikes to go out on long rides together. There are plenty of ways to exercise that don't involve the gym and which are fun.
