How many lbs did it take before you noticed a difference?
Just cuious how many pounds it took before you could really tell you were losing weight? For instance, since I really started on my diet, I have lost about 18 lbs, but I really haven't been able to tell, I still wear the same clothes, they seem a little looser, but I sometimes wonder if that is my imagination. How about you guys?

I have lost 36lbs and I'm still wearing the same clothes! They fit now instead of being way to tight .
I can't really tell a whole lot of difference, but I think I must have body image issues, because that's a lot of wieght for someone my size.
I know that I am healthier and I am sure you are too. Health should be the most important goal (not vanity - guilty of that, here).
Keep up the good work.

That really depends on just how heavy you are. 18lbs on a person who needs to lose 25 lbs to get to a healthy weight or even 50 lbs, is a large PERCENTAGE of their weight. But when we start out at a higher weight, like in my case a MUCH higer weight, it can take quite a bit longer.
I would say it probably took about 35 lbs or so til I saw a change. And it was in my clothing first. If it weren't for the clothes it would have taken even longer to show up. Hang in there. I promise you, you WILL notice a change - in your clothing, your body, your face, your skin, your energy level, your EVERYTHING!!! And before you know it - others will notice it too. Just keep at it. Those rewards are just around the corner for you, and boy when they get here, they are FUN and oh so enjoyable!

For me it was 25 pounds before I went down a size, or saw any difference. Now the changes are coming faster.

I've been off of work for a few weeks now and just went back this past weekend. I've lost 9lbs so far, but I feel like a different person. I have tons of energy and just feel great. I was sure EVERYONE would see the difference in me this weekend...but alas...NOT ONE PERSON COULD SEE ANY DIFFERENCE IN ME!! LOL...I guess my glowing health isn't visible to the naked eye! Oh well, I feel good and that's what matters. My clothes feel a little better too which is an added bonus!

For me, it consistently takes 6% of my body weight to have a visible difference. At 295 lbs, that was about 18 lbs. Now, at 160, it is about 9 lbs. I really don't visibly see anything less than that 6% marker.

For me I think it was 25lbs-30lbs, I would see photos of myself and think, **** your not as fat now!! But also this is when people started to comment and notice too, so maybe that is another reason. After 14lbs I felt much better health wise

I had to lose about 25 before anyone commented, and I think that's because I tend to carry my weight mostly around my midsection. So it's not like most of me was getting visibly smaller.

I could see a difference after 10-12 pounds. I felt like it all came off of my face at first. For anybody other than my husband to notice, it was closer to 30 pounds.
I also physically felt much better after the first 10-12.

I don't know if everyone else is the same but just four or five pounds into it I can see my double chin going away. I don't see differences in my body, but I do see them in my chin.

I have lost 18 pounds and I see small differences but to the average person they wouldn't see much of a difference. I fit into one size smaller but I still have the same issues (big tummy, butt and thighs) so I doubt anyone will notice much until later on. Last time I lost weight everyone started to comment around 25 pounds or so.

Strangely enough, quite a few people started noticing and commenting almost right away. I really started to notice after losing around 15 pounds (which also made me go from a 12 to a 10 and allowed me to wear a few slightly tighter shirts). Some formerly oblivious people noticed after around 20 pounds, which was also when I stopped being overweight.
HOWEVER...a few people who I don't normally associate with asked me the other day if I lost weight and told me I looked "skinny" - which was peculiar for them, because they didn't remember me being skinny. I told them I lost 40 pounds, and they were actually not surprised and said it made sense

Well, let's see...what I am at right now (see ticker). I don't notice so much naked, but more so with my clothes on, and in my face. They are a lot looser and I feel a difference in my body.
