Help Me, 3FC Gang!
Today is one of those days when I am really wanting to munch on the Pringles and just eat my way through the kitchen. Think it's a combination of being tired, a bit hung over and getting to the 'hungry' stage of my TOM cycle.
I KNOW I can stay OP anyway.... but I think I need a little help. Encouragement and support appreciated.
Mel

Throw out the pringles, put on your work out clothes and go for a walk. As you're walking think of 10 reasons why you are unhappy at your present weight and 10 reasons why you would like to lose weight.

Excellent suggestions, Glory87!
In fact, while you're at it, Mel, get rid of the other snack foods along the same lines! Replace them with healthy snacks; then you won't be hovering in front of the kitchen cabinets... :lol;

This is good advice - although actually I have already thrown out all of the snack foods! Did that 4 weeks ago when I started! It was a metaphoric tube of Pringles! We have a few junky foods left in the cupboards but luckily the BF likes completely different junk food than I do so it doesn't even tempt me.
Love the idea of the walk and the 10 and 10 - I am going to journal that I think.

I agree... get busy.... cleaning is never my favorite go to activity (although I never thought about the chemicals.... I just procrastinate when it comes to cleaning, and that spells eat!!).... I like to craft or get into a game with the kiddies. Anything that makes having food present a little challenging!
Love the 10 things idea though!!

I've had problems in the past few months with giving into these little cravings. And when I do, I can definately see it on the scale. It's hard to always to keep one's eye on the prize, but it is worth it to do so. I've recently had a long, hard look at myself and my goals. I was so miserable when I was 80 pounds heavier. I really think I would rather die than regain. And I'm not happy with my body now. It's tolerable, but it ain't great. I just have to think back to the old days, and say "Is that bag of chips really good enough to make me go back to that?"
The answer is always "No." I just have to summon the willpower to put the question in the forefront of my thoughts when I am tempted.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who offered their help and support. I managed to get through it without binging on bad food!
My boyfriend suggested we get an Indian takeout meal - I looked at the menu and went through my little Slimming World book (that's the program I am on) and I found something low enough in 'syns' (they're like points but slightly different!) that I could eat it. 'Twas delicious, I stayed on my program and it stopped me from wanting to munch through the kitchen.
Then we went out to the pub with some friends and I decided to just have diet coke and water because I had used all of my syns on our dinner. I stuck to it!
Feeling very happy with myself now for making it through that.
THANKS ALL!

You ROCK Mel! Good for you for sticking with it! And you don't feel any worse for it, do you? In fact, you feel just fine I bet!

GREAT GOING!!!! It's just the best feeling when you STICK with it!!!! And such a darn relief when you've made it PAST those darn cravings. Cravings can feel so strong at times, but they DO pass. Just because we've got them, doesn't mean we HAVE to give into them. WELL DONE!!!! Keep up the good work.
