Good calorie counter sites?

Default Good calorie counter sites?

I use fitday for myself, but as far as I know, you can only have one fitday account per computer. I want to start tracking the foods my son eats (per a post of mine below called "Calorie counters for kids") to keep track of his calories and nutrition.

Are there any others out there that are free to use and have a good database of foods?

thedailyplate.com is a good one that I use (I like it a lot better than fitday)
as for just looking up calories (though they might have a tracker program too), I really like calorieking.com, they have a lot of restaurant & brand name data

Honestly, I should have mentioned in my post that I don't really the TDP's interface. I've tried it and I can't figure it out. Maybe I just need to get used to it.

But any others that I can check out? That way I can play around with different ones

I use Nutridiary and think it works just fine. IMHO it's MUCH better than Fitday. The reports and stuff are easier to find and read. Also, you can enter meals, which makes logging very efficient when there's a salad you eat several times a week, or your favorite sandwich or curry or something. The meals mean that you don't need to log the individual ingredients every time but you can still see the constituent parts of each recipe. It's nice!

I just don't understand the interface of that one. I searched for a Wendy's kid's meal, because I allowed him to have one today (a rare treat) and it comes up with 3 different counts (calories, carbs, etc) for the same dang meal. Okay, so which one is right? You know what I mean?

That site drives me up the wall.

That and I tried adding a banana to the plate and it never took. I tried several times.

That place just frustrates me too bad.

Thanks, girls, for the suggestions, but what I've done (that I didn't think of before, duh?) was I've created another fitday account on another computer. TDP was maddening, caloriecount.com only logs calories and not fat or other nutrients, so I'm just going to stick with what I know. I've been using fitday for 3 years.

I think I'm going to take a peek at the Nutridiary though, just to see what it's about

My mom and stepdad both use fit day on the same computer. Did they change the rules?

Oh my gosh, really? I was told you can only have one account per person.

I'll check into that and see if I can log into the account I created for my son to see if that works.

Oh it worked! Thank you, I didn't know I could do that so I just set it up on another computer. Which would be a pain for me because I'd rather do everything from my own.
