I use to only judge it by my size in clothes. But I have to admit ever since I bought a scale I am addicted, I can't stop weighing myself. It's awful. I wish I had never bought it!!
Weight, for sure, as well as body fat percentage. And measurements. Sizes vary too much from one set of clothes to the other, from one brand to the other, and from one store to the other!
I would have to say both. I do weigh myself but I don't own a scale so I only really do it once every 2 weeks or so. But largely I relay on my clothes and how they fit. Pants getting less snug, tshirts that now fit better, that type of deal.
well....i'm big into the number on the scale. But it can also be depressing if the number is going down and not my pants size. But then again, i judge by the pants size if i couldn't get into a pair of pants before and now i can. It's so hard to say. People don't usually ask me how many pants sizes i've lost, so usually i judge by the number on the scale. But since i am fitting into a size 8 pants at 154, i can only imagine what size i will be in when i hit 120!!! The first thing i may do when i hit 120 is go shopping at Victoria's Secret for some sexy little something!!! I can't wait and can't believe i never did that before.
BOTH! =o) There are days when the scale doesn't budge, but you'll slide on a pair of jeans and they feel looser and that makes me smile everytime, because even though the numbers don't reflect it your still losing!

I would have to agree. Im a slave to the scale every morning. Its the first thing I do. I know its best to weigh yourself every week, but at this point I can't help myself. Any slight fluctuation can either make or break me. Today I am depressed that there was an increase in my fluctuation and I've been working my *** off on the treadmill 4 miles four times this week!
I measure by my jeans since I'm a jeans fanatic, and I have 20+ pairs. My goal is to get back down to size 8-10, brands really vary so this isn't science. I have a new rule since somehow I gained 20 lbs in 6 months or so (not for a movie role either) - I'm going to watch that scale at least twice a week and when I get to my target weight if I get on and I'm even five lbs over, I'll be back to serious work. Mistake I made before was not watching the scale and slowly buying more "fat jeans." I can't wait to fit into my 7's again, I just read an article that said to really test weight, pick a pair of jeans you love and try them on periodically to see your progress, the scale can go up and down especially if you are weight training but jeans don't lie!
Both, especially the scale. I like to track my weight in fitday to see that even if I'm up a little one day, the general trend is DOWN! However, I have some "skinny clothes" that I try on periodically.
I use both, actually. At my current weight, pounds don't budge that easily nor that fast, but since I've resumed weight-lifting (*grumbles* and I hope I'll stop being sick soon enough so that I can go back on Monday...), I have hopes that I'm going on losing a few inches. Right now, I have a 'target jeans' that I've bought recently--a size 6 that mostly fits, I can sit down while wearing it, but it's still pretty tight on my problem areas (but of couuuurse). That would be one of my non-scale ways of measuring my progress as well. When it completely fits, I'll be glad.
Personally, I only wear large-size clothing. Typically I'd be somewhere around a 4 or 5 (sick), but I find myself buying baggy clothing (8-10). I absolutely hate tight clothes. Aside from the fact that they're uncomfortable, they make people look fatter. Baggy clothing makes people look thin, like they can't fill out their clothes. Thus, I judge myself based on weight-loss (pounds, not sizes), and more importantly, by how I feel.
