Default Need hugs

I fell off the bandwagon this week. It's Thursday evening as I'm typing this and I'm in tears. I've been binging on chocolate and coke this week from sheer stress. We're trying to close on a home and as if this isn't stressful enough, I also failed a Microbiology lab exam. My lab partner changed specimens with me without realizing it, so I tested her sample, she tested mine, the teacher had different results from ours (obviously!) and I FAILED. She managed to scrape through because she realized something wasn't adding up in the middle of the exam but I was too stupid to realize it.

I know it's not an excuse, but I've been binging and gained back the 2 pounds I lost last week , so I'm pretty blue right now and could do with lots of hugs.

TIA

Drop the candy bar!! You are adding stress to your already over stressed life! The 2 lbs you gained back will be easier to lose if you stop now and don't add another 3 to it.

Can you talk to the teacher about retaking the test?

Is this your first house? I remember when we closed on ours (almost 5 years ago!!), very stressful, but you will have a lot of work to do when you move in, think of all the exercise just putting stuff away.

Take care, 100 's to you!!

Darn!!!!! You should try to explain to your instructor what happened--take your friend along--and ask if you can retake the test. Things like this happen, and you shouldn't be penalized because of a mixup. This isn't third grade! I hope...

Meawhile, step away from the chocolate! You are only making yourself feel worse. Calm down, have some relaxing tea, get some sleep.

oh hun, I totally hear you. I know it's so hard to keep it together when things like this happen and it's difficult to not be so hard on yourself but you don't deserve to make yourself feel worse! Not realizing a switch like that does NOT make you stupid! I'm sorry you had to go through that, I can imagine the stress involved. Things like this are unfortunate, they do suck... but they don't define you and the good thing about them is that they are one-timers.

Hang in there and hop back on when you're ready We'll be here
