I'm 5'8" and 160. I have sizes 8-12 in my closet that all fit, but mostly 10's. At my highest of 185, I wore size 14-16. I'm hoping at 140-145 i'll be in a 6.

its amazing how we are all so different!
I'm 5'5" and my highest recorded weight was 238 and the largest pants in my closet are a size 22...though they fit at the waist and were extremely baggy in the butt and the legs...and always tapered at the ankle....why is that by the way...is it the clothing makers goal to make the legs of every plus size item of clothing tapered to make people look worse? I'm now at 217 and am in yet again the same dilemma with a size 18 ...fits at the waist comfortably but baggy in the legs and butt...thankfully I'm away from the tapered ankle situation! Shirts are a different story depending on the shirt... I got the lucky stick with my DDD breasts...which even when I was thinner they were never smaller than a DD (and they have been this size since I was about 14) so the shirts have always been larger to fit 'Thelma & Louise' as I call them but then fit me no where else. I suspect that down the line once I've lost all of the weight I'm aiming to lose and have maintained for a year or so I will probably explore having a breast reduction. Clothing is a constant battle. I know that at my smallest I can remember I was a 10 at 190 and close to an 8 at 180....but I was extremely tone.....This time around I expect when I hit 190 I'll be a comfortable 12-14 ish....probably still with XL tops for the girls. I don't think I could make that level of toned happen again.

Ultimate goal would be I guess around a 6ish....but I'll settle for whatever size my body decides its gonna be at when its lean and healthy looking

This is an extremely interesting thread!

I have a whole freakin closet full of clothes that don't fit anymore, so I've ran the gammit as far as sizes are concerned. Oh yeah, and I'm 5'4

But my highest at 230 was size 20 from Lane Bryant and 1x or 2x shirt
And now I'm 125 at size 2 or 3 and a small shirt....

I'm 5'8.5, when i was 135 lbs I was a size 9 and could maybe squeeze into a 7.. when i graduated high school at 145lbs i was an 11(Juniors Sizes).. at 190 a size 16 was just about right, im 183 now and the pair of 16 jeans I bought are a tad loose.. I have a couple 14s that fit also.. so im 14-16 in womens and 15-17 in juniors

At my largest that I know of 287 lbs., I was wearing a size 26/28 and barely at that. It had to be a rooomy 26/28, otherwise it wouldn't even fit me. Oh gosh, thank G-d those days are over.

I have been really, really fortunate in the clothing area since I started this. My clothing size has plummeted. I'm really not sure why, given I'm only 5 feet tall. Maybe cause I have huge boobs and huge calves. I'm wearing a size 14 Regular bottom and a large top from a regular store, in other words not a plus-sized store, still something I have to get used to. But it's funny cause when I was in high school and 135 lbs I was wearing an 11/12. I still can't figure out how I'm in such a small size. But I'm not complaining.

I remember getting used to that. For the longest time, I continued gravitating to the plus section and holding up clothes and realizing none of them fit...they were all too big.

Almostheaven, I actually went shopping earlier today. Good friends of ours are being honored at a dinner and we must attend. It's Feb. 11th I think. Anyway, I (obviously) needed something new to wear. I was in Macy's regular sized department with tons of outfits, I loved so many of them. I swear to you I was in the fitting room bawling. Just weeping like a baby, I just couldn't believe they fit me and looked more then decent on me as well. I actually had to decide which to buy as opposed to buying whatever fits. It is without a doubt one of the best feelings in the world.

Yay Robin! I also went out today to find a smaller pair of pants as my ONE pair (I wash them 3 times per week) of size 12s are too big now. So I fit into the size 10s which are the same style and brand as the 12s, so down one size in 6 weeks!

Yay Mami!!! I am really, really happy for you. You ARE gonna be hot, hot, hot for the summer. You're actually pretty hot right now, but could you imagine by the summer? That's what you're shooting for right?

5'5" (or very close). At my highest weight I was 265 lbs and a size 22 (though they were my ONLY pair of pants and I wore them everyday for like 6+ months) so I'm sure I was a 24 or possibly even a 26. I was like a size 12 panty and a size 10W shoe. Bra was a snug 38B/C. Shirts were at least 1XL.

After losing 90 pounds - now at 175 lbs and a jean size 12 (or juniors 13) in most cases - some are still snug. Shirts are M-L. Size 7 panties (considering trying 6's) and a size 8ish shoe.

I'm a classic pear, and I have loose skin on my upper thighs and upper arms (though everywhere else is nice and tight) - which keeps me from dropping to a lower pants size. After I get to my final weight (looking at 155 as a secondary goal) - I would loove to get rid of that. I'll wait and see how it looks in a year after maintaining and exercising though.

I'm 5'5" and 3/4"... wavering around 135-140lbs, I can wear anywhere from a size 5 to a 10 depending on whether the store. I'm usually an 8-10 in a department store, but at say, American Eagle or Lululemon, I'm a size 6.

29" jeans for me (for now!!) but I hope to be 28" (or 27"!) soon.

I was an 18 misses pants at 220, an 18 plus at 240, now I'm a 22 plus at 260 ish (I refuse to update the ticker until I get back down). I used to be a 14/16 on top at 220, now I'm probably an 18 on top. I am a pear...

well I went to Gap tonight because thats where my friend (heavier than me, yet "smaller") said to go to get short jeans that aren't petite cut and by golly she is right! Petite cut just doesnt really fit my bone structure.

If I were buying jeans for right now I would probably buy a 10, 10's were a touch snug, but not overly--definitely wearable. So I bought a pair of 8's.

I think in the next couple weeks I'll be able to start wearing my 10p's that I have.
