Veggies that keep without refrigeration

I'm going on a trip and during my 4 night hotel stay, I won't have a mini fridge. Wondering what veggies could keep for a few days.

I'm thinking cauliflower, broccoli, bagged mini carrots, and maybe cabbage could keep. I wish I could run to get produce every day, but I won't have time.

Ideas so I keep veggies in my life while I travel?

Tomato can sit on the counter. So can peppers. What about getting ice at the hotel and keeping some inside a large ziploc and the veg inside a large hot/cold bag? Those silvery ones?

Most fresh veggies should stay good at least a couple/few days...after all, they grow outside, right? They're used to non-refrigerated temperature. :)

I'd put the broccoli, at least, in a bucket of ice. Of course, I can't eat room temperature or warmer raw broccoli without gagging...

Keep it on ice, you don't want to get sick. Tomatos and peppers are fine, but the other vegetables might be problematic. I really suggest using the ice chest and replacing the ice from the hotel's ice machine, or stocking the mini fridge. :)

Thanks for the ideas. When I get to my hotel, I'll buy veggies that can sit on the counter.

I know the friend I'm rooming with will make fun of me to no end. And as for using the ice bucket, he will want it strictly for liquid refreshment. I can't bring a cooler because I am traveling by train & by foot.

The silver bag idea is great. Hadn't thought of it.

Many hotels have mini fridges available upon request. You may want to call ahead and see if this is an option. Otherwise, I agree with the suggestion to use ice; maybe you can ask for a spare ice bucket?
