i love veggie burgers
i made a blend of rice,lentils, and a few chickpeas then realized it looked and tasted alot like a veggie burger, but i didn't form it into patties, just ate it in a wrap.
here's what i did:
boil a mix of wild and brown rice, lentils and threw in a few chickpeas.
i didn't really measure, it was several cups all together, cooked in a large pot.
later, i cooked the mixture in a little bit of evoo, with seasonings. this was to finish cooking the chickpeas which weren't quite done, but the rice was.
seasonings i used(but try whatever you like), powdered garlic, curry, different kinds of pepper,and cumin. and on my wrap i added basil paste and another time i added ginger stir fry sauce. yum!
this is all very vegetarian or vegan friendly, and can even be enjoyed by meat-eaters.and easier than forming into patties.
