Default veg to vegan with PCOS?

HI All,

I have been a vegetarian for about five years, and I just went vegan today.

Do any of you gals have PCOS?

I worry about not getting enough protein.

I'm PCOS and I know other vegan PCOSers. How much protein are you getting? The book Vegan for Life is an interesting read for anyone interested in vegan nutrition.

I just started, so I don't yet know. I am going to track my food for about a month to see. Thanks for the tip on the book. I will order it today.

For me, I get between 60g to 100g of protein per day. I get 60 without trying but closer to 100 I might have to work it. I think that is the range you'd find for most vegans who eat a balanced diet without heavily focusing on protein.

As a vegetarian, I always get around 70 a day, but I want 100 or so, which was so, so difficult. Thank you!

70g is a good amount and definitely in the recommended range so I wouldn't stress if you are right there.
