This book changed my life as well.
If I had never gone to the Farm Sanctuary Gala last year and then heard about it, I probably would have never changed and would still be at the same weight (and gaining) that I was back then. In May, I started off at 201 lbs and now? I'm a little over 2 lbs away from my first goal weight of 165 lbs. My end goal is 150 lbs.
Granted, I didn't take what they said as gospel truth and follow everything in the book to a T but rather it jump started my interest and caused me to want to learn as much as I could about the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle. I read blogs and other books about nutrition and diet (not only veg diets) and just figured out what plan would work best for me.
But without a doubt, if it wasn't for Skinny ***** I would have never had had the inspiration to change.
Rory Freedman is going to be speaking at a vegan Thanksgiving dinner that I'm volunteering at and I'm really hoping to run into her at some point.
