Food porn? Does it involve a cucumber?
I just got ready to go for my second 4/5 mile power walk this week but i just got a msg through from a fitness trainer friend of mine, he said to walk every other day...but then theres that whole, at least 30 minutes a day workout thing, all these plans contradict each other i swear!
Im gonna try to make something from that vegan site, but ive become addicted to lentils at the moment so something along those lines
Hows everyones booty shakin comin so far?
Bad thing is ive eaten alot..repeat ALOT of almonds last night and this morning! If the weight hasnt come off by tomorow i blame those!!!
I think il make my mini goal by sept 30th to shift 4/5lbs, for some reason my body doesnt wanna let go of it so im on a mission

Good luck vege ladies

Good morning all!

Last night I didn't get to go do my regular walk/basketball. I had a busy day full of errands and by the time I got home, it was time for my homework. Darn school. I plan to go back out tonight.

When I got up this morning and I weighed myself...the numbers showed my mini goal. So I figure I was just full when I made my stats. *shrugs* We'll see at the end of the week!

I forgot my lunch today It seems that for lunch I'll be having...Triscuits and a diet coke. Reeeaaalll healthy.

>.> Oh well. I'm just going to have to have a balanced meal tonight

Wish me luck.

And good luck to all!

I know what you mean!!! Some are like, "Don't work out every day...your muscles need to rest...so do it every OTHER day." Okay, well that makes sense.

Then you hear, "High to moderate exercise one day. Then light exercise the next day"

Wtf?

My theory is....I used to practice basketball for an hour every day in high school and I was really fit. I'm only a few years older (I'm 21..) so I don't see what the major difference is.

I shall do what I know until I see negative effects....is that bad of me?

I say listen to your body as far as exercise goes. I know I can't run two days in a row and sometimes I need two days off in between runs. This doesn't mean I can't do some light cycling, a yoga class, or just a walk. I won't stress my body but I need to keep it moving!

Moving is key. Even if it's just "shaking it" like Jillnicole said. I have a really bad habit (or maybe it's a good habit!) of getting into my music while drying my hair lol

FAT CHICK B GONE... mmm I'll have to choose whether to bake the seitan or pan cook it.. lol And yeah I totally agree on listening to your body with exercise... its always the best option in my mind!

JADE... yeah my body doesn't want to let go of the weight either!! lol I thin kbecause I recently lost 10 lbs... I was 177.5 the other day and am now 176.8... so hey guess that's something! WE CAN DO IT!

THE HEATHER.. I always make my lunch/snacks the night before so I dont have to worry about it the next morning... dont eat too little! That;s not good... so make us proud and start packing it girly!!

haha food porn? I've got to check out the site. =)

I'm going to say 129 for my sept. mini-goal. I'm still hoping that two of these lbs will come off really quickly as they seem to have appeared almost overnight!

I agree w/ listening to your body regarding exercise. I used to run and am trying to get back into that, but I can't run every day. I think every other is okay, but my knees just can't take it day after day. but "you gotta move it to lose it!"

Im going to cry, i just looked on vegan dad and theres the most drool worthy apple strudle...i want it I WANT IT *pines*

On a less psychotic note...i completed my power walk today, i think i need proper walking/running shoes cos my feet are in paaaain! i think il stick to indoor workouts tomorow. Ive been living on wholefoods the last week pretty much so im wondering what the scale will say *crosses fingers* I feel healthier, as long as i havnt GAINED i wont be killing anyone this week

THE HEATHER...im 21 aswell and i reckon i have waaaay more energy now than highschool, i think its rubbish the older you get (20/30's) the harder it becomes, ive read about men in there 70' taking up body building, so i have no excuse.lol
I reckon carry on with what your doing if your feeling a difference, you go girl!
Diet coke is EEEEEVVVVILLLL! The SUGAR WOMAN THE SUGAR!!!

JILLNICOLE...I make my snacks for the following day all the time...i just end up eating them the same evening!...oops!lol

Im going to join my bellydancing classes again, if you have access to it, its fantastic! I think i need workouts where im not actually aware that im working out!

Luckily this is the first diet coke I've had in AGES. I was lucky and my mom brought my Greek Caponata that I made a few days ago. It was very good. I'm glad she brought it for me.

Unfortunately, I've just had junk. Oh well. I shall make up for it tonight. I'm just downing water to keep myself from being bloated from all of the salt from the junk. No! Bad salt!

I definately recommend getting some insoles or something. I was playing basketball in Chuck Taylors and although they were great for 1930 they really aren't great now that I'm overweight. I bought some cheap athletic shoes from Walmart since I'm so rough on them. It's very recommended. Maybe one of these days I'll splurge on some nice athletic shoes later
