9.2k on the treadmill this morning - ran 5k then did the rest on level 20 hills. Very pleased with that, I didn't want to run too far because I've got the big 10k race on Sunday (eek!), but my leg has been playing up for the past couple of days so I wanted to have a bit of a run on it to see if it could cope, I started slowly and built up my speed and in the end finished the 5k bit in under 32 minutes which was OK as I didn't think I'd make it that far anyway. Probably no more running now til Sunday to make sure I'm a bit fresh for the race.

10k run this morning

I can't be bothered to post the whole saga again, so you can read about it on my blog. If not - 68 minutes, and it was HARD!

YP you're just amazing.

I swum this morning, it was lovely, until the descending of mulititudes of brats, that's when me and Anne my swimming partner took off.

Weights this afternoon. And a bit of stairclimbing, I like the stair climber!

You never know, maybe the marathon plan isn't so crazy after all.

Actually, I take it back. The marathon plan is crazy. But still strangely appealing. If I go OK in the next 10 I might look into trying for a half marathon at some point next year.

I think the celebratory alcohol is going to my head...

I'm being nagged to do the Great North Run next year, which I think is crazy talk, but I might just walk it. So if you want moral support, and perhaps a travelling partner for that one..............

I'm about to do my five mile walk to Bury, it's 5.45am yawn!

Apparently 4 people died doing that yesterday

Half considering it, but I think next year it's a bit later and would clash with when my mother's here (she has a long spell over here in late Sept/Oct every year). The Leeds half marathon on the other hand is vaguely tempting, closer to home and much easier logistically for a first time (can also just fall in a taxi/ambulance home if necessary...). Also part of it is the same route as the 10k I'm doing in November so I can see how that goes.

9pm! I'm just about ready for bed by then most nights with my early gym starts. Although today I only just managed to get in from work (meeting from 5pm to 8pm, talking about, of all things, chocolate and ice cream...). Life just isn't fair sometimes

Weights in the gym this morning, I couldn't face any more running after yesterday. I do seem to have brought out the competitive edge in some skinny people I know who are considering signing up for the other 10k I'm doing on the assumption that if I can do it, so can they. Best get in training to kick their arses

Go whoop some *** gal!

Did lacrosse, it was like being at school! I was worst one there, but considering I haven't played in about 6 years I think I held my own rather well! I could feel the calories dripping off! Maybe that was the sweat... Constant running around so at least I got some exercise! Fewer drills like cradling practice (which I really need) but deffo lots of running! I'll be a size 10 in no time!

7k level 20 hills today - 1 hour.

Since then my legs seem to have turned to lead, not sure whether it's the run, the weights from yesterday or the hills that did it though.
