Hey, welcome to 3FC and congrats on beginning your journey! The amount you want to lose can be so daunting at the start and feel near impossible to achieve. It really helped me to break down the total amount into smaller goals (I did every 20lbs, as well as quarter way marks) so I could celebrate the process and realize that I really was making great progress even if the ultimate goal was still far off.

Telling people I was going on a diet and then joining challenges here at 3FC has kept me accountable. Not that I don't fall off the wagon some days, but everyone does, and the most important part is that you brush it off the next day and get right back into it. Also, progress pics! Every time I've having a real rough day, I look up pictures of other people on their journeys or at goal, and it keeps me motivated and inspired. And take your own! Sometimes you don't realize how far you've come until you look at it side-by-side.

Do you have any specific diet in mind?

Hi, thank you for replying.

Once I get started I know I will try and stick to a diet. But it's getting started that's the problem. I will take your advice and set small goals rather than thinking of the overall weight I need to lose.

At the moment I'm over eating. It's not good for my diabetes. Need to lose for health reasons more than anything. That's the reason I decided to join 3fc.

hanks for the good advice it was helpful x
