Default hover mowers (off topic, lol)

When I was in England, I was blown away by the sight of a hover mower! I had never heard of such a thing. When I returned home, I tried to find out of they were available here. Unfortunately, they were only manufacturered by one company here, rarely found (still, no one I know has ever heard of them) and very expensive, about 800 dollars.

However, I just learned that QVC is going to introduce a small hover mower which will be very cheap. It will be electric, which of course has it's drawbacks over a gas or battery powered version.

So what I'm wondering is if anyone here has a hover mower?

Do you think it does a good job in comparision to a standard mower? Also, do you think a very cheap model would be a waste of money? And, do hover mowers perform well on high grass or are they best suited for just keeping short grass short?

Thanks for any input

Default

I have a hover mower and it cuts long grass and short fine. Find the blade a lot more durable than the ordinary mower.

Much less bovver with a hovver, as they used to say
