Struggling with diet, any suggestions??

  • Hi, I'm on my second day of 'dieting', just eating within a calorie limit of 1700. I am feeling hungry quite a bit but am trying to stick to it. Anybody got any dieting tips, interesting foods that might help??? Does anyone think I should change what I'm doing to combat the hunger??
  • After reflecting and having a light snack I feel back on track, that was all it needed!! Thanks to anyone who read this :-)
  • No problem ;-)
  • Hello love,

I struggle to stay within the calorie allowance all the time! I would recommend stir frys! Stir frys save my life! Even if I have went a bit overboard during the day and I only have 300/400 calories left I make a massive chicken/prawn and veggie stir fry. Infact, I quite fancy one tonight for dinner lol xx
  • That's a great reminder caralovescake, I used to have my other half's mean chilli con carne with stir fried veg instead of rice to save some calories, it was fab (although it did make me a little windy :-D ) xx
  • I find that using a higher percentage of my calories for protein than starches keeps hunger away.

Thank You Thank You ad infinitum. I love chilli con carne, it's easy to make and loaded with nutrients. The substitution of stir fried veg is pure GENIUS. YUM
  • I've been doing the JuicePlus+ 36 day weightloss plan has anyone else tried this? my mums friend introduced her to it so I jumped at it as well. Lost 6kg so far!! I'm really happy.
  • If you want to contact her for information her email is lf.lord2629 @gmail.com her name is Lauren.
  • Hi all, writing in to share ... that since I went low carb moderate protein, my hunger has been virtually annihilated.

I am doing Ideal Protein .... but there are many other forms of ketogenic nutrition (which is what low carb is called.)

IP is moderate protein. Something like Atkins is high protein.

Honestly, I can never look back to Weight Watchers or counting calories again.

My new way of life will be carb management. Plan to do paleo once I reach goal weight and complete the IP protocol.

Sharing on the off chance that this might help someone else. I struggled with my weight for years and am so grateful for finally having found something that works.

    Annik.

    Yes! Absolutely!
  • When I lost weight first time round all I did was make the effort to move more and cut portion size, first couple of days were hard but if you can remain strong then all is well. Instead of taking the bus to work I started to cycle and I started doing kettlebells - which are great for cardio and toning. I lost about 2 stone in a few months once I had really got into my routine. I know it is not as easy for some people to start making adjustments especially if you have to do things like commute to work, but there are small changes that can be made. Changing mince to quorn on some of your meals really helps too
