Hi Everyone
 Hi everyone
My name is Lynne, I am 44yrs young, have five kids from 25 to 8, married to Phil. Have a looooooooooooong way to go with the weightloss. I am taking it half a stone at a time. Joined Slimming World 8 weeks ago and have lost 2 stone, so I am very pleased. I live in Basingstoke, moved here from Surrey last year, hated it at first but actually quite like it now. I work in Reading as a sheltered housing officer and really thats about it! I didnt think my life was so uneventful but it looks like it is. Love this site, I know it will be a real help to me.

Hi Lynne,
2 stone in 8 weeks, that is amazing has taken me 8 months to do that, well done, you are amazing.
Come back and tell us all about you, we are a friendly. mad, supportive bunch of ladies and we're very very nosy.
How do you find slimming world, a couple of people here were doing it. I'm doing WW, slow and steady thats me, well it was until I went off plan last week, but that's another story.
Speak to you soon.

Hi Carol
I did try WW but would lose a couple of pounds then the next week would put it on again! With SW I can have lots of meat which I like and I never feel hungry!! and that is the key for me. I see you are in Scotland. My late mum was a Scot and what a temper she had!!!!!
My son has just got back from the Gulf, he is in the Navy so I have been able to concentrate on the slimming a bit more, now I know where he is.
I have got to crack it this time Carol, my hubby is terminally ill and he will need me much more soon, I need to be fit and healthy. One of my other sons is getting married next year so I have got focus, but most of all I want to feel good about myself. Sorry to have waffled on! Nice talking to you.
Lynne

Have tried many different plans myself before, including WW, but this time I seem to have cracked it. Think I have just reached that stage where I am going to lose it - am planning on it taking me another 18 months - wish there was a magic wand I could just wave and open my eyes and I'd be a size 10, have controllable hair, be 15 years younger.....
No harm in dreaming.
sounds like you have a lot going on with you at the moment, mother of the groom next year, stick with it and you'll be even more glamourous by then

Hi Lynne glad to have you with us Fantastic job with the weightloss AWESOME!! sorry to hear about your Dear Husband Is your son home for good now? i hope so, that must be a huge weight off your mind i tried to follow SW for a while but i can't find the branded products over here..when i'm next in England i think i'll try and do it. I have stuck all the pages of free foods you can have from Marks and Spencers,Tesco's and other shops in a scrapbook..when i get back i'll head there and stock up on potato wedges, (green) beef in red wine (red) etc all free! Hardly sounds like a diet does it?

Hi
Marks and Spencers is my favourite place I think that the thing with SW is that I never feel hungry, there is always something to hand, or should I say mouth?
Sometimes its just one big chore though isnt it? You think there must be more to life than this! Listen to me I sound like some old moaning minnie.
I spoke to my son today, he is of to Rotterdam for a while on some kind of trials, so he is happy! Beer and women as he says what more can you ask?
Well I am off to bed now, I have to work this week-end YUCK!!!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Lynne

Another Monday Over!!!
Well Thank God another Monday Over!!!! What a day I have had. Working with old people is sometimes very hard work!!!
Well Cathy How are you? I am due for my weekly weigh in on Wenedsday! Some old soul today tried me to eat a great big donut and custard, I took it so as not to hurt her feelings, and I put it in the bin, when I got back to my office!!!!! Good Girl or what?
Yes my son is a right one! He has females everywhere! but I am glad he is enjoying his life, thats all you can ask for them isnt it?
He chokes me up, I am so proud of him it hurts!!
I love all my brats really! I have four sons and a daughter and she is more trouble than the four boys put together!!!!!!!
Well Cathy, You have a good week!!!
Talk to you soon

Gosh Lynne well done on the weeight loss. Mind you very often in the first couple of weeks it can be a good loss and then "settles down" so don't be despondent if this happens. SOrry to hear about your hubby but at least your son is back now, you seem to have had a lot of worries recently.
I know what you mean about WW because I did have quite a good loss but was always hungry and very much aware I was on a diet. With SW I am on green all the time as I am vegetarian and it works (bit lazy at the moment so eating rubbish really). However, when I put my mind to it, no problem! I enjoy some of the recipes especially the indian style ones.

Hi Girls,
Aaaaahh..i love that teddy Lynne YES you were a good girl i did exercise on Saturday (3mls on treadmill) but nothing since gardening and sunbathing but i don't think the latter burns any cals just your butt if you're not careful I've avoided that so far. I've kinda lost my way the last few days as far as dieting goes I can't get into a plan and on these long sunny nights me and hubby relax with a few beers on the deck which does'nt help much but i sure enjoy it..how come all the pleasures in life are either bad for you or make you fat?
Hope you had a better day today Lynne and the rest of the week too!

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Well girls I am in shock! I put on a pound this week and for once I dont know why Class leader thinks that maybe I am not eating enough, yes I know I have never had that problem either.
Anyway enough of that, I am going to stick with it, I am doing a lot more exercise now as well so should be ok.
Came in tonight from class, so hungry even the cat looked worried!!!! settled for a sin free sausage sandwich. I am away to my bed in a minute, got a busy day at work tomorrow!
and another session at the gym My boys all rang me today to tell me they love me ahhhh.
Well my Friends you all have a good week, and remember we all deserve to relax and have a treat now and again, we deserve it.

@ the worried cat i take it the sin free sausage sandwich was made with fat free sausages? what's your opinion of those Lynne? we don't have them here its hard to find anything diet friendly and if it is it costs an arm and a leg that's what i miss about the UK..the variety of food that is available..it gets a bad rap for having lousy food but i'd sooner eat there than anywhere else. I've had the ultimate lazy day had breakfast..was online for a while and then set the tv up right at the patio door and laid out on a mattress..only been coming in for water and a pee oh and now to make something for my tea.

Lucky Devil
I am so envious Cathy, I have been running around town visiting elderly people that can no longer manage in their own home! Most of them are lovely but some Get home, hubby fast asleep in the lounge, mouth wide open catching flies. I think to myself is it all worth it, as I pour myself a gin and tonic, (well deserved) Actually the sausages are not at all bad, I get them from a butchers up North, I order enough to last me a month, I had pork and apple ones yesterday, they were yummy.
I though of you today as I sailed through Marks and Spencers looking for something for dinner. Got a roast beef joint with garlic and crushed peppercorns on the top, its in the oven as I speak
Hubby snoring loudly now, I thought life was supposed to begin at 40, I think I must have missed that in the last five years
Glad you have had a lovely day!
Speak Soon Lynne

Lynne..you find the neatest things i just love your Av your job must be so hard..you must have the patience of a saint
Your roast beef dinner sounds so good its really hot today..30 degrees..i did a bit of gardening this morning and then sunbathed all day again (with hubby this time) he's still out there but i nipped to post while Emmerdale Farm is on..i'm going back out in a minute...I think we're having a salad for dinner..i'm not that hungry..only hungry for ice lollies..icecream and cold beers.

You certainly work hard in that garden of yours Cathy, think you deserve a large ice cream and have one for me while you're at it.
Lynne you must have the patience of a saint in your job, would upset me working with the old biddies who still want to be independant but can't quite manage on their own.
