I've been exercising 5 days a week since the beginning of January - along with eating better and I've found it really helps me stay motivated. I'm finding the routine of it helpful as well - and scheduling my work out time into my days, so I can't make up excuses for why I 'can't' work out. It suppresses my appetite too, which obviously is helping my weight loss! Since I started working out, I've had more energy, sleeping better, my skin has improved - and I've lost 34lb!

I don't understand someone not wanting to exercise cause they gain. Maybe if it makes you so hungry you eat off your plan? It's not like you're putting on fat. The weeks when I am most faithful to exercise are the weeks I lose the most. That being said, it's in harmony with following my diet.

First and foremost, finishing a work out and looking at all the successful days behind me gives me a huge sense of accomplishment. I love that feeling when you finally "break through" and what used to be really difficult is now easy and how you warm up :P.

Exercise definitely keeps me motivated more than just eating right alone - it makes me WANT to eat right because I don't want to sabotage all that hard work. It also gives me a hobby to do (get ready for a race or whatever) and something to work towards in addition to losing weight.

I also sleep a lot better. It's better going to bed when you're actually exhausted.
